hmmm I didn't even think of folding to one bet here, I guess that probably is the best play

I don't see a reason to call

I don't see a reason to call turn and fold blank river. All hands with medium SV (most of them beats your fourth pair) get free showdown and win, all bluffs and good hands bet river and you fold, so in this line you even never win the pot. I see 2 lines here:a) call turn and call blank riverb) fold turnWitch option is better it depends on your opponent range. If he has a lot of bluffs, you can call 2 streets. If he has tight range, you should fold turn IMO. Sorry for my English, I still learn;)

Yeah I'd fold on the turn,

Yeah I'd fold on the turn, like you said the 9 is good for his range. I'm folding preflop too to a 3x, depending on how much he opens I don't necessarily call J8o either.
