line check $115

How am I supposed to play this hand?  I checked flop (mistake?) for pot control and was going to feel comfortable if a non-spade hit the turn.  Is turn call ok?  River to me was either flopped flush, a 7, or air - against a solid player is this an easy fold, difficult fold, or crying call?

Also, what if the board was not 3 flushed and I bet out and was called and the turn card paired the board and it is checked to me - is the normal line to bet/fold to raise or check for pot control and call reasonable river bets or bet river if checked to?

thanks for the help guys:

I think that checking back

I think that checking back the flop is a big mistake. You are letting a huge array of weak spade hands that are basically garbage but have awsome equity against you draw for free. I also don't think that many players will try to bluff raise on a flop like this considering how many hands are capable of calling them down. If you want pot control I think you are generally going to be better using it on a later street while actually in trouble.
