I like the way u played versus the frequent 3bettor, checking behind the 7 on the turn, having the last word on pot on river. Do u think he might not have only overcards? Later on the video he defended 92o on the big blind. I assume he might 3bet 59, 48 or random and peel the flop.
Hmm im not sure what you mean. I certainly think a weird gutshot or str8 draw could be part of his range here as well as overs. If it was OESD or stronger (with 1 over) he likely just jams flop over my raise. That doesnt really make me want to change my line tho.
playing quite loosey goosey there sir with the ATos. I liked this video. Think we all have games where we play like this and I think it's good that you release this as is as we get to see some raw/crazy games if you like! Who are you on PS or is that private? The villian I think I may recognise for sure. When you shove the A5os preflop and he has say 18bbs and limped I don't think is a bad play at all and is definitley plus ev I would think depending on his ranges if you run this through say ICIMIZER.
Talking about unusal/adjustments and levelling. The donk is certainly something that gets some villians to spew as does the min cbet or the min 3bet against some villians and whilst it doesn't make sense mathematically I think in some cases it can be hugely plus ev if levelling can be mathematically translated into levelling equity! Though I do question if it's wise to get those situations in the first place. BTW I like your explanation of the small cbet on the paired board. Look forward to next video!
Thanks for the reply. The consensous seemed to be that people enjoyed seeing me play some hands i thought were bad during my reflection, and then taking the time to explain why i didnt like them. I suppose thats better than cutting out bad hands and acting like i play perfect ;)
Id like to take a moment to address the A5o hand since i somewhat brushed it off in the video. The reason i didnt like it was because this villian up to this point had not limped at this stack depth. Usually when this happens thier range is a nutted/trapping range, or a hand that is too weak to raise/call a 3bet shove but too strong to not want to see a flop. During this match we hadnt yet really gotten into a reship war, and my instincts clicked when creating the video to think it was much more heavilly weighted towards a trapping range.
My read during the review was "somewhat" right, since in his mind he prolly thinks he was trapping with A5o. If he is limp/calling a range of say A2s-A9s, A5o-A9o, 22-77, (some ppl frequently limp/shove a range close to this 18-23bb deep) as well as a few combinations of monsters (88+ AJ+), we are hemmoraging money by jamming over his limp here.
Really nice video. Outside discussed situations i just want to say that in 10.13 i don`t like that call with this kind of hand - 6d4d imo is ideal hand to make a 3bet AI, to base on blind levels and stack sizes. Good job sir!
Hey man, sorry for the late reply. I had been meaning to reply to this a long time ago but i guess i missed it.
I have to strongly disagree with your comment here. In order to be auto reshoving 64s and similar hands without ever flatting oop 24 bb deep, we are going to be hemmoraging money except against the most extreme specific kind of fish. Even then, there are much better and less high variance ways to exploit that fish.
People who have extremely wide reshove ranges >20bb deep are extremely easy to exploit. Even the worst of regs playing much lower than i play would be able to adjust to this. If you use a hud and are showing a stat line that suggests auto reshoving this type of hand this deep is profitable, it wouldnt take long for that stat line to look significantly different as your villain adjusts to you.
I am not saying u shouldnt mix in a reshove here once in a while with a SC type hand to balance against certain villians, but autoreshipping is just bad. Also against this particular villain, i am not balancing my deep reshoves at all, and he is still calling them insanely wide. (makes reshoving 64s even worse.)
