Hi,
1. you underbeting as CB 89off on when you hit TP hoping that villain ch/r and be able to clicking back as 3B right? for me you can do this but for exemple on the paired board as QQ4 or TT4 with nothing or with some one over card. leveling you here so much with the card which have equity.. for what? whats if he just call your underbet and T will complete flush draw, coming with over or even A and he will fire on T and shoving R? or whats if he just calling you after that you 3B his so light? for me the best solution here is CB standard half pot.
2. at the end you shove Q6* at 12bb deep. is the optimal play you think here?
BR
:)
Hey thanks for the reply. Im not sure what you are asking on question 1 but ill attempt to address question 2.
Im not sure which Q6 hand you are talking about as there are 3 towards the end of the video. These videos are meant to stimulate the viewers mind postflop, and not address building optimal push/shove ranges vs each opponent. There are hundreds of videos on that subject elsewhere on this site. However ill throw my 2c.
First Q6o i elect to fold at 11bb deep.
Second Q6o i elect to jam 10bb deep.
Third Q6s i elect to jam over 12bb deep.
Hypothetically if you are shoving an exclusively unmodified nash range, Q6o becomes a shove at precisely 9.6bb and Q6s can be a shove at 20bb.
The specific modifications one makes to a nash range are unique to each villian and is a topic very outside the scope of these videos. I purposely rushed through that portion of the video to get to new content focusing on postflop play.
i hope this helps in some way.
Hi Matt,
Thnx for your repaly is well :)
Concerning my first question. At 7:28 when you minirasie 9c8s, then underbeting as CB for 30 on flop 9h3h2c for induce ch/r as you said. You managed to get it. Villain ch/r to to 160 and then you 3B to t290. Here his fold. But you give him very good odds. He need only 19,6% euity to call. So when I first time watched this video I was thinked that this was a very dengerouse paly as he can call correctly with a lot of hands here. Thinked maybe is better to instead of underbeting 30, make standard or littel bit bigger CB, for avoid ch/r or if is happen just call it and let him barreling T. But now I was watching your video once more and if I start to think about his range here, I can say that it will be very difficult to him play this spot for if he just call it. As most of card which go into his range can help you is well when we think about the your precived range from his perspective.
Whats about second question. I'm aware this is about creative paly postflop video and not about endgame :) And you make your job well :) That was just a littel digression. I was only thnked that maybe Q6 suited is better for example limping here and try to play postflop instead shoving. Of corse shoving is EV+. But if we are not happy with limp for any reason I agree that shoving is better then just miniraise as we saw that this vilalin defend a tons oop.
Thnx again Matt. Nice video. And sorry for my English :)
I love your content dude. I just hated your 3bet with 98, in villain's shoes I'm folding a ton to that because it's so transparent that you are trying to induce I'd much rather let him bluff the turn but it's gonna be tricky on over cards I guess. I'm fairly confident about this. However with J7 I like.
