As I've been in this game for quite a long while I think the synopsis of my poker story might be of interest to a few if you want to read on later...For those that don't like long reads I'm going to post my plan as simply as I can first.
Play $1.5 husngs until I am multitabling as much as I can comfortably do and only then start playing $3.5 and above.
From $3.5 upwards to move up only when I've put in an absolute minimum of 1k hands at each level and have 100 buyins for the next level.
I will regularly review my game.
I'm going to follow the advice posted by WubblePig in the thread http://www.husng.com/content/beginner-guide-summary-0
thanks WubblePig
I will use all software resources that can help my game.
I hope to get to the $15 games in Pokerstars but I aim do it patiently, methodically and with regular reviews and studying and perhaps coaching, at the very least will certainly be looking at video resources. I think it might be best at this stage not to talk about moving beyond $15 level as talk is cheap and it's a difficult thing to do with the cartels being in place.
I will post graphs occasionally, perhaps if and when I move up stakes. Anyway wish me luck :)

As you can see I had a bad start. I initially read the Mersennary book and while it was a good read perhaps it wasn't enough to turn this newbie heads nl sng players to a winning player. After that bad foray a few months ago, i decided to take another go but this time I've spent a lot of time lurking on this forum , looking at the free videos, the change in the direction in the abov graph corresponds to that change, yeah I know it could be all just variance but I still feel like now I have a better game on me this time around.
My poker bio
First I'll give you a background on me. First started playing online poker in the early 00s, maybe as far back as 2001 or 2002, certainly no later than 2003. I would say by 2004 I was playing heavily and was a successful winning player, by 2007 I went 'pro'. I say 'pro' because I was living off the game but I didn't approach the game in a professional manner, horrendous bankroll management (I knew it was) and not specialising in any one game, though mostly was playing PLO. In 2009 this bit me hard. My main games moved from PLO to SNGS and mtts.I somehow managed to limp on for the next few years binking the odd mtt. In 2012 some life events and finally out of poker funds I abandoned full-time poker and took up teaching English.
I still continued playing but just part-time. I got coached in fixed limit heads up sngs back in 2012 under the Moshman program. I think it's fair to say I was one of their most successful pupils thanks to a great coach Gordon Walker. I achieved 13% ROI albeit just over 1300 games (but just look at the last graph below and tell me I wasn't crushing it!) in stakes up to €50 which in a heads up format I hope you'd agree is a fantastic return, unfortunately this format was never very busy and you could be waiting a long time for a game sometimes... and so I drifted back to regular sngs and mtts.
I've had other things on my mind over the past couple of years but poker has never been far from my thoughts and recently after looking in forums, talking to people etc etc it seems clear that HU nl sngs look the best way to achieve a good ROI with a lot less variance than other formats , obviously with Pokerstars new rake increases it makes it far less enticing (hopefully better alternatives will emerge over the coming years) and this was making me take a step back but I still feel it's format worthwhile to get good at as being expert in this will of course give you a significant edge when it gets down to the last 2 or 3 players in other tournament formats, so I plan to take it as far as I can in this format.
if that's all TL;DR then...
