Micro stakes HU
Hihi,

I'm a broke student that has ground out various micro stakes games for the last 2 years,
alot of my bankroll goes back into sites like these so i can improve whilst remaining 50+ bi's deep..

Started with a $15 depo, I guess I've never really moved up.. More re-invested.
Sank my teeth into 10man turbos on stars but the multi table grind bore me & i started to loose interest.

So I took a chuck of my BR got a sub here and started grinding out Micro HU..
Im really loving the games, whilst remaining immersed.. Great!

However there are two concerns I have that I'd like your opinions on, If you may..

Rake: I'm totally getting shafted when it comes to rake.. at the 2.15s it being almost 10% whilst averaging 8-10 games an hour.. its brutal to see it have such a big impact on my BR. I contacted FTP about it, asking if I could use rakeback partnership on an existing account...

No luck.. On stars its slightly worse and no turbos..

Shuvbots: It being the micros, you'd be surprised how many guys come in and literally push any 2 cards for 20+ hands...
This I don't find a problem, I'm patient.. however on the wrong side of variance it becomes alittle tedious.. never the less, solider on..

Whats I am really getting at here I guess, is that with these two factors... Is it even worth trying to build a BR at these stakes?
( I know its lame but my $130 dollar BR will not be getting topped up... debt is a bitch ;] )

Would the best advice be to FO back to STTs until 30+ BI's for $5-6 HU sngs?

Look forward to hearing from you :]

if your a good player

if your a good player (better than most your at this site) you really dont need 30bi+ for the 5-6$ levels  i think $130 is fine theres that many reckless spewtards.

I started at the $6 turbos on stars with a $150 roll around 200games ago(small sample i know) and found it easy to maintain a 15% roi after joining this site but i do find full tilts turbo structure gives me a lot higher variance dont know if anyone else has experienced this?

hope this helps

I think that you are better

I think that you are better off playing the $5s with lesser bankroll management than you are playing the $2s. The rake in the $2s is absolutely brutal. I'd also advise against playing anywhere without rakeback. The rakeback is variance free money. It helps your winrate and also helps to ease the swings.

It also seems that people who refuse to play without rakeback tend to have a much easier time getting rakeback added to their account. In other words, it seems to me that most people who cash out their money and send an e-mail to support with an explanation as to why tend to suddenly be "approved" for rakeback on their account. No guarantees though.

I would cashout and

I would cashout and redeposit on a rakeback friendly site such as Bodog or Cake that is also good for husngs (both are, particularly for low to mid stakes husngs).

We have great offers on our rakeback.husng.com page that will give you good rakeback, deposit bonuses and can really help you get out of those brutally raked $2 games and into the more reasonably raked and more profitable games.
