The majority of the hyper turbo videos uploaded are midstake videos by average or good coaches. Is there any chance to get players like serkules, berndsen12 or Skaiwalkurrr to make hyper turbo videos? Would like them to explain there ranges and hand reads..would appreciate it.
Unfortunately these players do not want to make videos currently (though we've had two skaiwalkurr videos he did with xSCWx). If this ever changes, I'll definitely do what I can to make it happen. My role is more of capturing the flow of the market, rather than figuring out who would be good to make videos (believe me, Serkules, Skai, Mocha Choca, livb, Ben86, I can name a whole lot of guys I'd love to make videos that currently do not want to). However, one of the guys mentioned has told me he considers Mersenneary's videos better than he could ever do in hyper videos and I think coffeeyay should give players of all levels a lot of value to consider (look for some focused hyper turbo stuff from him soon, likely even a premium level video or two). Sa1251 (check his Merge stats, killing STs) can probably do some hyper material in the near future as well. But I'm always constantly expanding and searching for new players and coaches, particularly high stakes guys. Those are the guys that make the most money at the tables and those are the guys that rematch thinking opponents the most, so they generally have some high hurdles to overcome when it comes to making videos (interest level, time, money motivation, comfort on showing your thought process to the community).I do want to push back on something you said in a recent video comment: " The fishes in your video play so awful nobody at $200+ would play that way"I disagree, many of the most profitable HUSNG pros have said time and again that maximizing your edge against bad players (not simply beating them, that's easy) is one of the most important, if not the most important skill you can have as you move up. I suppose at 1k+ it's a little different, but only in the way that you have to be good enough or mentally disciplined enough to find lobbies (being able to give lobbies to the skai or livb or serkules of the world). But if you can survive reg wars or lobby battles, it's usually the fish killing skills that will buy you that house on the beach. And that's not singling you out by any means, many people have made the same statement you have since this site opened (usually when there's a video vs fish), and some of the guys making those statements were really good players themselves.Anyways, I definitely want vids from the guys you name at least as much as you, people love those guys universally and they are incredibly good players, so if the opportunity presents itself you can rest assured I will jump all over it.
Thanks for the answer. I understand that the $1000 regs dont want to make videos like these were they give insight and their thought process to other players especially when you always face the same opponents at these stakes they could take advantage of that. Accordingly i love lotte lenya for making his high stakes video although he lately has been making turbos only. Strong 3bet game, hand reands and his range plays also very good imo.I think mers as well as chadders0 made really good midstake ht videos for this site and flippetyflop is also a good addition. Solid ranges and explanation.but i have to disagree with coffeeyay he makes some crucial mistakes in his readless play and isnt often aware of ranges and especially not of the hud stats of other players of course you shouldnt let yourself influence by a handsample of approx 10 hands however it gives you hints... also sharkscope him not a huge winning player at 100$
Hey just wanted to answer your comments :) I feel like I made one obv mistake in the last video, the QJo B/C on river. Some hands were debatable but really not crucial mistakes. I'm very aware of ranges, I realize I was a bit short in the last live play vid--i was not used to having so little time to discuss my thought process. In the next live play vid I'll tape it first and then dicuss after (like Mers in his new vids). The video was specifically without HUD stats, in the next one I will be using the HUD stats. I am a big believer in HUD stats--I even wrote an article here about interpreting low statistics HUD stats :/ Also as for SharkScope I agree I'm not a "huge winning player" unfortunately I'm about 14K below EV at 100s, so if it weren't for that I think i would fall under your category, especially since i 3 table :D Sharkscope graphs really don't give the full story. Fwiw I'm moving up to 200s now too because of my good EV ROI, I'm def super happy with my game atm and all regs I have talked to have said so as well :) I coach a number of players who are at or above my level and all have had very good things to say about me (BigHusla for example). In the future I'd really appreciate more comments in the video comments section so we can discuss spots together--perhaps i just haven't been 100% clear in my explanations and I really want to be able to make better videos!
Have to say pretty much all your arguments about coffeeyay aren't valid at all. You shouldn't ever need to mention someone's results when you are able to watch a video where they explain their thought process, it's much easier to know someone's skill by seeing how they think instead of looking at their results. As he mentioned already about the HUD he's even made an article about it, definitely not something he's not considering enough, at least not in the way you mention it. I guess the only thing left are the "crucial mistakes" you mention which would be great if you could provide examples, maybe with other people considering it a "crucial mistake", because if no one else agrees with you, maybe you're the one needing to reconsider somethings. Anyway, not saying he's perfect at all, as I'm sure himself isn't either, I do think your comment is kinda harsh though.
