Hi everybodyIm a new member at HUSNG community, i start playing husng this year at full tilt, take a look at my stupid graph (http://img16.imageshack.us/i/graphxl.jpg/) As you can see, there were times when I went on tilt and play limits that should not have played, I know if I continue that way I will lose my entire bankroll, so I registered in husng.com in order to improve my game and build my bankroll. Now some questions:)- I've seen some videos that are here (http://www.husng.com/content/heads-up-poker-video-planning-guide), besides those listed here are a few more I should see?- For now, I saw the videos of PrimordialAA Heads Up SNG From Scratch 1/2; Fydor_8 HUSNG Leakfinder 11/05/10 and Cog Dissonance Postflop Play.- What is the best way to select the videos from the list? Should I see them in the order that they are?- In addition to the videos, what other forms of study I should follow? For example, while playing 9 man sng I was reviewing my hand history on the HM and Sng Wiz. And now for hsung's?- My bankroll is at 1028$, what level should i play to start implementing what i learn here? Should i play Turbo or non turbos?Ty in advance :)
Welcome to the community!- You don't need to watch the videos on the list in order. Genreally we put newer/more popular/most relevent videos for each category closer to the top, but they aren't listed in a specific order you have to follow. You may also find that you get a lot out of specific instructors, in which case, just use the master video list and browse that instructor's videos to find more that can help you. By no means is the list complete or the only "quality" "recommended" videos that we have. It is a good starting point though, especially if you struggle against aggressive players for example, as we have videos listed under that category for you.- I usually suggest a two pronged approach to reviewing hand histories/hands. 1) Look for hands that represent common situations you get into (check raised with a weak top pair vs a random opponent, playing a draw OOP vs a random opponent early). Review those hands, if you're unsure, post them in the hand review forum for feedback. 2) Look for hands that gave you difficulty. I sometimes paste hands that give me trouble into a .txt file while playing, and include brief reads. This obviously works less effectively if you have more tables up or have issues focusing, but I often would 1-2 table so it wasn't too difficult. I then would go back and review those hands, especially after a week (or when a half dozen or so piled up). Any questions I couldn't resolve on my own I would post on forums or message other players asking for advice.- Turbos or non turbos depends on a lot of factors.- Your bankroll is enough to play up to the $30 level likely. That doesn't mean you should jump into the $30s, but if you are having success and feel confident, there's no reason you can't play as high as $30 right now. If you have a lot of winning experience and discipline in other poker formats, up to the $50s might be possible, but I'd only recommend that to experienced bankroll managers that have a lot of skill, success and the ability to easily move up and down in stakes without letting emotions hurt their edge. So short answer, probably up to $30. In rare cases, up to $50. If you're not confident, I would think that playing anywhere as low as $5 is fine. Don't let your bankroll dictate that you have to player higher if you're a newer player to husngs or you've had struggles.
Thanks RyPac, for now I'll review a few hands where I'm confused and I'll post to the forum ;)
