Hello to all of you! I want to tell you a little bit about me:I am 35 years old and having a pretty good live, working as stage manager and production manager for music and theater festivals. The best aspect of my life is that until 3 years ago I worked like a dog, and decided to quit. Because of my connections with the industry here in Austria, I could manage to continue working for 3 months out of 12 and getting a nice paycheck. I am travelling a lot and having a lot of fun with friends and my wife. I started playing poker 6 years ago, and there is one thing really curious: I am a winning player in the local cardrooms, playing smallish tournaments and lots of 1/2 and 2/5 cashgame. I am very accurate with recording my sessions, and am up every year since 2005 between 10k and 25k. Not the world, but what the heck - I am not a professional and don't have to make a living with this money. This was the good part, but now the bad one: I am maybe one of the worst online poker players of the world! I tried it all: Limit Holdem, No Limit Holdem, Omaha Hi, STT. I don't know what the reason is. I just suck! And I am not a Fan of multitabling. As strange as it sounds, multitabling bores me to hell! 3 weeks ago I started playing 5$ Heads up SNGs, and something strange happened. It was the first online poker game, that in some manner reminds me of live poker AND playing 1 table is fine, there is of course always action playing Heads up I am a winner for the last 500+ games, of course running hot and over EV. But I would like to believe I can beat this 5$ games. Well, I am playing poker long enough to know that I have to work very hard to become a real winning player and move up in stakes. And due to my working conditions I have a LOTS of time to be a student of the game. Here my graph Ok, so that`s a little thing about me. Now I will start watching and learning from the videos and looking for a study group Have a nice day Christian
Hope the link for the graph works: http://img840.imageshack.us/i/stats14012011.png/
Hey Christian,Welcome to the community. It sounds like you have put focus and value into finding some happiness in life, congratulations on that and nice work. With how you describe yourself, I think heads up sngs are probably a very good game for you to play (particularly with the single tabling, time and seemingly disciplined mentality to life).I would also agree you look like a winner in the $5s based on that graph.Best of luck as you continue to play, feel free to post hands and discuss strategy on the forums here.
