Hey guys,I have a question about the HUSNG on stars (not used to play there). How come it is not possible to sit first all the time? I mean normally (on Fulltilt example), when someone is sitting on a game, another open, and so on and so on so you always have the possibility to sit first. There can be 5 or 6 games with 1/2 player in them. Here, if you want to sit first, you have to check the lobby like a hawk and click like a mad man when the last game ends. And then, there is fair chance you are going to be seated with a reg (both clicking the game in the same time). All HUSNG are like that on stars? Why this is different? Is it a bug or is it intended? And if it is, can anyone explain to me the reasons behind this? Thanks a lotCheers!
- Stars wants games to launch faster I believe.- If players don't expect another open lobby to come, they will more likely just sit more quickly on Stars.- Prevents weak regular players from potentially waiting for the worst players (likely worse for the poker ecology than if weaker regular players are forced to not play or play tougher matches). Those are my best guesses.I don't pay much mind to a lot of the people that don't give reasons for why they love FTP's system (or give reasons that don't make sense). You see the same type of tone from so many in the hu cash games and that's a situation that obviously went very wrong and encouraged the wrong type of player/system.
Also, I'm not saying Stars system is better, just that you're bound to get a lot of really poor arguments from protectionist favoring players that aren't indicative of the truth of this debate.I'm honestly not sure which lobby is better, I suspect each lobby situation favors different player types in different ways. As a poker room though, you would think the sites would probably have a much better idea, though I'm not sure why FTP and Stars would have such drastic systems (it strikes me as likely that they would both find similar conclusions to what is best for them if they studied this correctly).Lots of "ifs" and opinions in here, so I'll bold this: I'm not entirely sure
