hello allI started playing husngs at full tilt about three months ago @ the 2s and climbed my way up to 22s (turbos), then i decided to withdraw my roll and deposit on stars cause of the 600$ first deposit bonusSince then i just don know what happened, either the games at stars are lot harder, or the structure doesnt suit me...i dont know. All i know is that the same strategy @ FT and PS doesnt work.@ FT i had a nice straight line up graph (both EV and winnings) over 1k games and was achieving on average 10% ROI@ PS is this: I moved down to 10€ around the game 180..nothing changed, and the people im playing vs. are most of the times sooo badNow, i know its a small sample, but you can state that something is wrong just by looking at ev line, right? im just like wtf, its kinda hard to go from 10% ROI on FT turbos to 0.2% ROI on PS turbos and youre not doing anything different
The EV Line says nothing really important after this number of hands. Beside of bad play you could run in setups where your hand is a nobrainer, got outdrawn on turn by a miracle card and get it in bad being commited etc. Most important thing is that you stay focused and let your break even stretch not get into your mind. If you don't feel comfortable at stars, go back to Full Tilt and forget about the bonus until you get again confidence. Search always for leak into your game. It is easy to forget about trying to become bettern when running good.Good luck at the tables!
It could certainly be variance, bad play, some tilt and so on. The games should not be different by any stretch, even your strategy should not be drastically different. The only possibility I can see of your game being strong on FTP turbos but weaker on Stars, thus leading to a major drop in success, would be if you were not very good at 50-75bb play. But I would still suspect that negative results would show up in the FTP games, particularly in the first two levels of play. And it's not very common that one is very good at the latter parts of the game but does very poorly in the 50-75bb level (especially for the lower or mid stakes games).---Just to give you an idea of how likely it can be that variance is at play here (at least explaining some of this, if not all of this, don't discount your own confidence and level of play as well), here are the first two results that I got in the variance calculator here on husng.com when inputting about a 6-7% ROI expectation (56.5% winrate, not sure off hand exactly the ROI for that). So the above graph is the first input I did, and it looks really good with a bit of breakevenish towards the last 150 games. Again, not exactly like your situation, but it's within the ballpark of what you're experiencing. Also, this was the very first result, so it's not like I cherry picked one to look similar (I was planning to look for a few identical ones and let you know how many trials it took to find them to give you an idea of the liklihood that this was completely standard or rare or something in between variance). The above is result two. Obviously there's a rough patch in there which looks fairly similar to your rough patch, but overall these are good results. I only hit "update" twice, so these are the only two results I received. So what I would conclude, is that it is certainly not unlikely that this could be just variance that coincided with your move to Stars.I'd suggest not becoming one of those people that switches networks every time they run bad (and people as high as $500+ winners do this all the time), it's probably not maximally beneficial to you, no matter how mentally hard a downswing can be.I'd suggest really focusing on your game, playing another few hundred games, try not to pay attention to results during that sample and just post your results after a few hundred games here (pick a # of games, post it in here, then play that # of games without paying attention to the ups and downs in between, then post your results once you get to that # of games and we can analyze it again). Make sure you're not tilting or playing without confidence though, as that can certainly change success very quickly.
I just understand from where i take my ev + week :) Work on volume ;) Work on your game ;) Keep hope :) Dont tilt :)
