Yes!Could you please incorporate some sort email notification function for forum replies!!.For me (and i would think many others) its very anoying to not have an e-mail notification for replies on forum post. Now if i post multiple hands or reply on multiple post I always have to go and browse through all the post to check if there any replies. That's okay for the first couple of times but if i would wanna use the forum more regularly I'm sure it would become very annoying to browse through all my post and personally it's kinda discouraging to use your forum if there is no notification system. So please, can this b worked on?
We'll look into forum options.Do the threads not display "14 posts, 4 new" for example for you on the page that lists all the topics for a specific forum?
Yes, they indeed show when there are new posts. But if I'm posting and replying to post on a regular basis, it will be just a big mess and pretty unclear where my post are or posts from members i took the effort to reply too. Why I'm writing you guys this, is because i used to very active on the pokerstrategy.com forums, posting hands and submitting replies on daily basis maybe like 10 at a time and sometimes hand discussions woul;d spread out over multiple days.If the pokerstrategy.com forum didn't have an e-mail notification system i wouldn't have been able to be so active, because it would simply be very messy to find all the post and would cost way to much time to everytime go and look if there are already new replies to them. Further more the HUSNG community is a bit smaller and i noticed in the past that sometimes it would take a while before i would receive a reply to a post and i would just be a shame if someone took the time and effort to post a reply and it wouldn´t be read just because the post has been made like 2-3 days ago and you forgot about it.Well I just think a notification system would enhance the useability and interaction of the website.Maybe give it some thoughts?greetz
Here, I'll visualize what I mean:
As you point out, it does make more sense for a smaller community such as our's to do this. Thanks for the suggestion, I think this is actually something that will be valuable to a lot more people than just yourself, we just haven't really thought of it (we've been waiting on some redesign for blogs and forum upgrades, but haven't gotten into specifics yet).
