Pokerstars response to 15 sec time bank

What the hell are "fast" SnGs?  And since when does Stars have hyper-turbos?  Was my e-mail somehow replied to by Full Tilt's response team?  Maybe regular SnGs have foudifferent speeds that I don't know about, but if so that's like comparing apples to bananas.

Seeing as it's staying at 15 seconds, anyone know of other sites that offer a longer time bank and still have lots of HUSNG traffic?

Hello Corey,

Thank you for playing at PokerStars.

The reason for the change in the headsup hyper turbo's from 60 seconds to
15 seconds was to correct an error when they were deployed. We received a
complaint that 60 seconds was way too much time, and during the course of
that investigation a programing code error was discovered.

Our client should work as follows:

Standard 60 second time bank
Fast 30 second time bank
Turbo 15 second time bank
Hyper-Turbo 10 second time bank

While we realize that you may prefer to play Turbo's instead of Fast
tables, others prefer to play without a constant delay of 30 seconds for
their opponent to act. It's a hard balancing act, but we do not plan to
make changes to the time bank at this time.

All of the best in finding the niche that works for you. And, we agree
the rematch button was long over due. Pleased to see that it like it.

Sincerely,

Joan H.

What a load of bullshit. I

What a load of bullshit. I get the reduction for hyper-turbos because it's push/fold anyway, which doesn't require a ton of thinking...but the difference between regulars and turbos is too little to warrant the difference in timebank.

I still don't even know what

I still don't even know what they're talking about... what are "fast" games?  Does he mean 'fast' like in cash games?  If so, what does that have to do with HUSNGS?

 Hyper turbos are the

Hyper turbos are the satellites, and they have 10 sec time bank. I know that "fast" cash games have 30 sec time bank, so that's probably what he means. I wouldn't expect a random support guy to be able to give you a good debate of the why and how on something HUSNG specific.
I agree that from our (the good players) standpoint it makes just as much sense to have a big timebank at the turbos as at the regulars as the decisions are the same, but if you look from the fish's standpoint they probably want the game to finish faster when they play a turbo and the long 60 sec timebank will annoy them too much, so I expect this to be +EV in the long run. When the fish wants something and the regulars wants the opposite, a good site will ALWAYS side with the fish and let the regulars adjust.

To be honest I haven't

To be honest I haven't noticed the 15 second timebank for turbo speed husngs thus far.
I think 60 seconds is much too long, but 30 seconds should be fine.  I haven't been playing more than 1-2 tables at a time, so that's probably why I haven't noticed the 15 second time bank.
They've always had it set at 15 seconds for the 4 man turbos and that was a brutal bad timebank, especially if you play lower stakes and/or are new to husngs and probably need a little more time to think about what you want to do (the more experienced you get, the easier it is to play super fast bc you've been in more situations more often, so your thought process can be finished quicker, for better or worse).
It's tough to really push this issue too hard, however, as 60 seconds is much too long, 15 seconds seems too fast, but moving it to 30 seconds is a seemingly small thing to gather, organized and mass email players.
If you'd like to do this, however, feel free to make a thread with some sample emails for players to sign and x-post it on 2p2's HU forum as well as their "Internet poker" forum.  The "Stars Improvement Thread" in the Internet Poker forum is also a good place to give feedback.  I used all of those methods when I helped push for the rematch button.

Good luck.
