can anyone explain to be why in Pokerstove 8/10 offsuit shows up at 40.9% (of hands) and 8/10 suited is at 24.3%?
I know suited cards give you about a 2.5% edge over the same offsuit....so what is there such a diff.
in ranking?
thx
I'm guessing because T8 is a hand that is often dominated by calling ranges so the added flush potential means a lot more in this instance.
Also, T8s has more equity than 44 straight up, T8o does not. Pokerstove T8o and T8s vs some weakish hands that show up in the 24-40% range or vs other hand ranges and you might be surprised.
If I'm wrong here, somebody else please weigh in and correct me.
