Hi Guys,
I playing micro hypers on Stars and I'm working hard on my game after having a liitle hiatus from poker after a period of ill health.
I'm getting a little frustrated as I "think" I'm getting it in ahead so expect my net adjusted to go up but I'm really surprised when it goes down!? I think there is something I dont understand. Could someone please explain how it calculates, as I'm doing my best to not think of results an focus on the process.
Also does anyone have a structure for study & playing that has proved succesful for them?
What ratio of playing/studying is best for an ambitious micro player? how much time should I spend watching videos, using ICMiser,SNGwiz etc? is flopzill a worthwhile investment?
sorry there's a lot of questions but I'm eager to improve but feel I'm putting time and effort in but unsure if its directed correctly.
Thanks in advance guys
N
Hi,
The EV-adjusted line goes down when you and your opponent both go all-in and you are behind (underdog).
Imo all you need for the beginning is PT4 and buy Sentin's video pack for hypers, it's really great to start with. Study 1-2 videos, then play a session trying to incorporate some of the ideas you were taught. Then continue with another 1-2 videos, then play again etc.
If you are fortunate enough not to have a full-time job and you can dedicate your entire day to poker (I wish I had that :) ) then I suggest you study at least 2-3 videos every day.
Good luck!
