Push-or-Fold EV Shortstacked (Theory)

I know this must be a settled matter and all but I'd really like to see this thing working. I'm just starting on HUSNGs and I have the impression (even though I'm pretty sure I'm technically wrong) that whenever I start pushing or folding non-premium hands like A3o, K7s, Q5o, etc during the shortstacked phase of the game (20bb, 15bb, 10bb and lower) I'm pretty much gambling.

I mean the odds run around 50/50 or 60/40 for me and villain much of the time. So the question is: Do we actually MAKE money over a large sample size with this kind of play OR we just stand to LOSE LESS by shoving our short stacks rather than folding such hands?

If someone with 20k+ hands or so could post a table with winnings on situations of 20bb and less and using non-premium hands (excluding AA, KK, AK, etc) during a pre-flop jam I'd really appreciate. I think other people might find it useful too.

(I'm pretty sure it is profitable but... I have to see it, you know?)

Using no pocket pairs (AA,

Using no pocket pairs (AA, 88, 33, etc), no broadway hands (KQ, QJ, JT, etc) and no Ax hands (AKs, A3o, etc) I am -1458.74 big blinds (BB) from the small blind playing 8661 hands.

This is all the K2o, 85o, 53o, Q7s, etc type hands. Most of them are played in the 5-20bb region

But if I had just folded every single one of these hands I would have lost 0.5 BB for each hand which is -4330.5 BBs.

So these hands are "profitable". I "gained" about 3000 BBs by playing these hands. That's like a 100 buyins of real money. So basically you can never win in this game if you don't play these hands and only play premiums.

Push/fold only really begins to start around 7bbs or less in my opinion. You have so much room to take advantage of your opponent both preflop and postflop by not going all-in with hands but instead limping/raising your hands instead.

Getting in a 50/50 flip from the SB is better than folding.

If you fold you lose your 0.5 BB but if you're in a flip you are expected to breakeven at 0BB. This adds up really fast and is why you have to learn to play so many hands in HUSNGs.

Hey para... were you at

Hey para... were you at +3000bb or were you at -1330bb and thus had the 3000bb difference?
