It's never a mistake to go broke 14bb deep, I think I'm comfortable even speaking in such an absolute at that stack level.You did fine here, passive opponent means you're not nearly as likely to get any value by checking, so you bet out for value, you get raised and there are plenty of weaker hands this opponent likely has that will raise/stick it in.  Fine hand, it's a cooler/ran into top of his range type situation.
