What percentage of rakeback do affiliates receive before they pass the standard rakeback percentage onto the player for the following sites. Affiliate Receives | Player Recieves Fulltilt ?% | 27%Cerus ?% | 30%Cake ?% | 33% I am interested in creating a website for a rakeback site and I'm in the process of drafting the cash flow model. The percentage the affiliate (me) receives is very important to the creation of the business model. I have heard of friends receiving up to 50% back from fulltilt from certain training sites for making videos for them. Is this rate something you negotiate with the poker room? Thanks in Advance all!
Hey,Full Tilt recently capped at 3% for ALL affiliates, so you won't be getting more than 3% from them unless you want to offer players a bad deal (not recommended).Cereus and Cake are higher, but still single digits for most affiliates.I'd recommend going through pokeraffiliatesolutions.com. They are a very large parent affiliate and they essentially allow you to get a higher % on many rooms than you could get if you had directly negotiated with them.I would also recommend really taking a hard look at your model. It's very easy to setup affiliate models and pretty much everybody offers the same thing for rakeback (aside from people that specifically give their players lower percentages, but that's a pretty shady way to operate) on many of the largest sites (some euro sites are different though and you can find ways to negotiate better deals). The advantage of a site like husng.com is that we can offer free video access to users, so there's a unique reward. Even as such, we would not be around if we had to rely on rakeback as our business model.I've heard of a lot of disappointed people that started small sites hoping to make money mostly with rakeback or ads and both markets seem pretty saturated for the majority of models.Shoot me a PM if you have any specific questions from here. The 50% thing you heard of is probably something a site like Cardrunners does because of their unique partnership with Full Tilt. I've never heard of that outside of a site like CR though. Some massive affiliates probably also have some unique deals, but again, everything points towards lower end for smaller sites, and by small I don't mean a startup (for example I doubt any other training site aside from CR has any way to offer incentive on FTP to a coach but I could be wrong).
Thanks for the advice Ryan. I just ran all the numbers with the addition of information at pokeraffiliatesolutions and it seems this venture is not worth the reward. I was expecting to receive at least 15% on top of whatever the standard rakeback was. Oh well onto the next idea. Thanks again for your help!
No problem.I believe the percentages used to be much higher in a more competitive marketplace, or less experienced poker rooms. That's not fact, just what I've heard from a few people that have been around. It seems today more people offer rakeback and less people need it or can sign up for it at this point.
