I've been playing Paul's ultra-passive limping style, and Villain has been constantly minraising my stabs. He's been cbetting in a pattern of minbet, minbet, overbet...or minbet, huge bet, HUGER bet. We have not seen a showdown of more than a 4bb pot yet, as I've been folding to all of his raises. I'm not sure if my flop raise should have been bigger, because I don't know what his calling tendencies are to this point. I'm guessing my turn bet should have been slightly larger? I just decided to shove the river, as I don't want him checking behind...but perhaps there was a great chance he would turn any hand into a bluff, and he likely would have shoved. Even though we haven't seen a significant showdown, I don't think there is any way I can fold the river against this guy (is there?). If I check and he's a reasonable opponent here, he still could be betting enough two pairs and a Jack really isn't in his range often enough to worry about. Against a "reasonable" opponent here (ignoring that he showed up with KT), is this shove still good?

I think there are quite a few

I think there are quite a few Jacks in villian's range here.  JT, AJ, J9 all seem like reasonable holdings. As for the river decision - it obviously depends on player tendencies.  If you are against a bluffy opponent I prefer a check/call.  Against a showdown monkey I prefer a shove.  Against a straightforward and passive opponent it could even be a check/fold as they are unlikely to value bet less than a straight.  I'm pretty amazed that any opponent would call with KT all the way here.Against this particular opponent I'm not sure a limping style is ideal.  By keeping the pot smaller preflop you are giving him more room to play back at you.  Is your were 3xing or even min-raising than he is commiting more of his stack by raising your stabs or c-bets.  Just a thought. MW
