Hi I am new in the HU world and and also in the "hyper" speed world, so some concepts are new to me like the "open shove concept" which I don't totally grasp yet.
I bought the Chadders's pack and I am trying to totally dominate the ROFL theory for readless players
i have some questions, probably some would sound stupid to you, but I will really appreciate your help clarifying them.
ROFL raise/call section
(I am guessing that the call means calling NAI/AI situations but if not please correct me)
should we call at any moment 3bets that put us "all in" or commited?, is kind of obvious for AA but for K7 off it does not sound as easy if we have 14 or 13bb.
if yes, we take the initiative and send all in to mini- 3bets situations with these hands? or we play the hands?
ROFL Open Shove section
to perform open shove we limp or minraise?
(is my understanding that this technique implies that whatever we hit or not we are shoving the hand, so for example we limp/minraise 85s diamonds , flop is Ks, Qs, Js all clubs, are we still sending all in according to the theory?
if this is true please help with the next clarifications, if not then how do we apply it?
are we always look for a way to open the hand and shove or not?
examples.
we limp, villain minraise, we call and shove?
we limp, villain 3bets 3bb, we call and shove?
we limp, villain 3bets half effective stack (around 7bb) we call and shove?
also i have some questions in case we enter the hand without problems but villain decides donk bet
we limped, villain called then he donkbets 1bb, do we still shove?
we limped, villain called then he donkbets with pot or higher, do we still shove?
we limped, villain called then he donkbets shoving, do we call his shove?
Now, I would like also know if we can apply ROFL from BB, and how do we integrte it from that position,
from the raise/call section , are we gonna 3 bet "all in" to min raises and 3x at all time?,
how do we approch limps, directly with and all in or we have to 3bet (althought entering the flop with k7 off can be a problem unless we automatically send "all in")
and for Open Shove section, same question as before, we look to enter the hand under any circumstance to shove?
thank you for your time
It seems you're not understanding what open shove means. Open shove refers to going all-in pre-flop. So instead of min-raising or limping, you put all of your chips into the pot immediately with your hand before seeing the flop.
Also this range is only a guideline for SB play. It is not at all applicable to BB play.
Ty, yes i was not understanding it correctly, now it makes much more sense, lol.
I didn't understand why some players push overbet all-in pointlessly sometimes, but now it makes sense too. :)
