Sentin7 Hyper Turbo Hand Review

Sentin7 reviews some hands at the hyper-turbo level where he believes he made some glaring mistakes. He explains the importance of getting the maximum amount of chips in each situation and that you can still make errors even though you may win the hand.

Cool vid:)Isn't better to

Cool vid:)Isn't better to cbet 40 to 80 pot on low monotone flop (752) when we intend to 3barrell off our stack? We don't need to make a big turnbet, or overbet shove on the river this way. I don't hate c/c with top set on A86FD, yeah we can't really rep strength, but I don't think he'd spazz out with air, because we can rep strong draws, and 8x, and we won't CR-fold those. Unless there were some crazy dynamic, I don't mind check-calling that flop. We can get value from 8x, 6x, and he'll barrell a lot of turn with air, and draws also. Ugliest turn came, so I'd donk 50-60 just like you said. And yeah, I don't like the river bet. I'd overbet shove, if I think he'll hero with Kx, Qx, or he can have 8x, and it's more profitable than a small bet (50-60), because he'll call enough times. Or if I can't put much 8x in his range, and I don't think he can be induce by a small bet, or he won't herocall much, I'd just check like you said.Shoving is a bit awkward, but we can't really rep the Ax, and why the hell we would overbet ai with 8x, so he might call thinking we missed our medium-smallish FD, or straight draw, or our 6x is counterfeited. And yeah, we won't really spew out like this, but if his not a regular on the stakes, and maybe don't know us, he can think that we would:)Keep up the good work!GL bro

Yeah, I agree that most of

Yeah, I agree that most of the time betting 40 instead of 30 is going to be optimal in the first hand. However, at the time I was really concerned with balancing, as we had been rematching for a while and I knew he had seen me take this bet-sizing line (minus the bad overshove on river) with a bluff so I figured he might 'go with his read' and either get it in light or get induced to try to bluff me off the pot. But in hindesight, perhaps that is giving my opponent too much credit for perceptiveness and ability to adjust to something he should have noted earlier. In the second hand, I definitely don't like overshoving the river since we know he has no Ax in his hand, is super unlikely to have 8x (I would definitely expect him to bet the turn if he did), and can really only get called by some strangely played pocket-pair above an 8 (also unlikely) and Kx (which, even if he has it, is no guarantee to call such a large bet and is obviously much more likely to call a more 'standard' bet-size with it). Reviewing all that, villain is left with a range that contains very little showdown-value and (barring those few Kx and maybe some Qx) will undoubtedly be tempted to bluff the river after we check twice. For these reasons, I think check > small bet to induce > overbet/shove.
