I just lost 8 games in a row, every all in i was at worst 60/40 ahead and at best 95/5 i lost every one. some times poker can be very frustrating, time to call it a day i guess.
I must learn to make variance my friend.

I just try and remember the times I suck out in situations like this. And like you said there is 2 sides to variance. Just hide all the sharp objects in the house and give em hell tomorrow.
lol they are hidden,
ok ive worked out the equation for not having luck/variance on your side resulting in tilt, herewith to be known as mother&$**$£2Tw&t
(work tilt+ a$$hole boss + 7 day working week) + me = x
(fish - pokerstove) = y
probability of y calling 3 bet shove with k4 when x has JJ = z(100%)
x+y+z = mother&$**$£2Tw&t
......................................................................................................................................
Going on tilt after being unlucky = 300$
drinking a bottle of wine after the event = 40$
Knowing ive got a fit wife to be and two cool dogs to go and chill with in the living room = priceless
perspective is a great thing, i just need to learn when to stop, what stop loss do any of you use, i dont tilt and get angry but the quality of my game goes right down after a losing streak, i need to stop that.
Well, losing 8+ buyins really sucks, but it happens.
The important thing is not getting on tilt - or quitting the session in time when you realize that you're starting to tilt.
I had the same problem all over January - and it was not only losing flips, I also constantly ran into the top of people's ranges, which made me get really frustrated.
I haven't been playing for more than a few months and already I've had a few sessions where it feels like I'm just there to give the other guy great hands. On those nights, everytime I hit a hand, the other guy hits a better hand.
Nice to vent and know others have these nights, too though :)
A few days off and a video review from Fydor has definately helped, the spew carried on for a few days but im back moving in the right direction after the break.
I'm glad to hear this :-)
You can't beat variance - but tilt can so easily destroy all your profits from weeks or even months within a few hours.
Switching to Carbon really helped me to overcome some of my tilt problems - I'm currently running exceptionally bad (just have a look at my Sharkscope stats, my nickname is IchoTolot on Carbon / Merge Network), but I'm also getting a lot of volume in because these games are so short. So it's quickly a new match against a new opponent and the suckout from the last match is forgotten.
At the moment, I simply try to play as good as I can and make the correct decisions.
Sure, break-even streak of 500 matches really sucks, but that's just one week of play, so it should eventually end really soon.
Good luck at the tables, and I'm off to the pub to get some beer :-)

Saying that i just lost a few games in a row no biggie i reviewed the hands history and out of 5 all ins i had a total of 59% equity in the pot and fold equity to boot (plus one dumb bluff that i posted in HH review ) i got something like 20% back winning only one with KKs. Not sure how tight people play their edge when shoving with things like flush draw and 2 overs against top pair but over time the hands played the way the were should be profitable. Implementing the stop loss now for a day so as not to go on spew mode :)
Yeah, these draws all have decent equity against most made hands, so even though you get it in ahead, your edge is only small - mostly around 60%.
For instance Pocket Aces only have 63% equity against a naked baby-flushdraw (baby == two cards both lower than the lowest board card).
However, if you constantly get your chips in with 63% equity, that's an ROI of 20% - getting it in with 60% equity equals an ROI of 14% [You pay $105 and win $200 * .60 = $120, that's a profit of $15 per game - and divided by $105 yields 14%].
