As pointed out in my HH questions, I just joined. Got some coaching from Ryan(xSCWx) a couple of years to help my full ring STTs . Now I am ready to be more serious about HU. for the first time in a while poker is interesting again. Nice to be learning something new
I guess in the end I will find my own direction but a little input to start. I have donked around a bit playing HUSNG at both turbo and hyper turbo. Are the hypers too fast to get more then a couple of % of roi. They are lasting on the ave 6 minutes
Do many of you play cash? When playing cash it seems all the regulars are sitting. 12 different guys sitting as the only player. Are they not wanting to play each other and waiting for weak player. It took me about 5 tries before any of the guys would play. What am i missing.
What is the play like at cash? I played a couple of sessions at low levels and the play wasnt horrible but the low level STTs were awful.
If I can learn to not be such a donkey at HU I will play at might current levels which would amount to 50-100 STTs and around 2/4 cash.
Any input would be appreciated. I am currently playing on Ipoker
i cant get the converter to work. Is that because they are from Ipoker
Joe
I think that cash nowadays is more about being a good fisherman than actually being a good player. Without any sort of "king of the hill" structure there isn't any incentive to play against good players. Your biggest edge is going to come from playing against bad opponents, so it is a lot more profitable to just bum hunt across as many tables as possible than to just play at one level and play everyone.
I understand now. I guess I am the fish and I took the bait. I was wondering why every player I played was a winning player. LOL

Hey Joe, we are on the same journey, I switched soon from STT: FR and SH to HU, I was doing well there, but HU play is totaly different, for 4 weeks I can't get my ROI to be positive.
I played on Ipoker soon, now I am at Boss Media, Almost very player I see here at the tables is wining player, full of fishermans everywhere :) I played some of them and they have big leaks, with a good leveling game, not hard to beat them.
I register at HUSNG for 4 weeks and didn't knew where to begin, because from live play videos you don't learn that much as a HU beginer.
Collin Moshman's book would make a solid base for HU, then some psychological stuff from Tommy Angelo, and the Theory videos from Primo, some student review videos, and the articles, great way to "get your feet wet". Right now I feel my game is way stronger.
