ST: Folding bottom pair against a LAG

Hi,this hand is from a micro superturbo game played @ Willian Hill. ( that's why the weird stack sizes...) Villain was a LAG and this was our 10th hand. At the beginning Villain limped twice but couldnot figure out during the game if that meant weakness or strength... i would raise it preflop...

i would raise it preflop... if he calls and bets the flop i would probably give up or ship, depending on his cbet frequency

2 limps in 10 hands (or 5

2 limps in 10 hands (or 5 buttons) is probably more weak than strength.I'd rather raise the limp with something like KT, but you don't have the benefit of selecting which hand you start with.  Raising with K7s can be OK in my mind, but it's kind of a gray area hand (sometimes you can raise sometimes you can check when searching for the best decision).  In this specific instance I might lean towards a check, just because you say he's been somewhat aggressive. However, aggression is pretty general.  If he's just been raising his other three buttons and cbetting a lot, that's not necessarily the type of aggression that worries me or makes me think twice about raising a prospectively weak limp.As for the postflop part of the hand, this can be a call down if your opponent doesn't value bet a lot of hands or semi bluff a lot of draws, yet is still an aggresive bettor (means he's often bluffing, or bluffing too often in these spots for you to fold), otherwise the flop call and turn fold are acceptable. There is some variation in approach to playing bottom pairs in limped pots.  I personally often fold these bottom pairs, so long as my opponent isn't very aggressive with attacking flops, I just don't see the profit in playing a somewhat tight, non bluffy player in a limped pot with a weak pair, and would often fold then.  Depending on the level of specific aggression, the turn can be a fold or call. That may not give you all the answers that you're looking for in this specific hand, but should give you a much better idea of when and why to take certain actions (limp raise, limp check, flop call, flop fold, turn call, turn fold), and that's really what will benefit you long term.

I'd jam pre readless (and

I'd jam pre readless (and over a minraise readless). I think you have to get it in as played. Trips are hard to make.
