Starting over

helloas im starting over,  with poker again i would like to start on the right track this time around. ive invested so much time in to poker but due to my tilting problems i was always an under achiver in it. i had a 3 month break from it, i didnt play at all i was mainly reading books with poker psihology. doing joga, meditation... so to cut the story short i have a few questions:

  • if u would start over, how would u aproach the studying part of the game
  • how would u learn from videos( i take alot of notes, but im not sure they are useful)
  • to what would u comit the most time
  • how do u analyze your  game

i have alot of time on my hands, i was already a wining player, i am aware of my tilt problems in the past, im dealing with it, and i have alot of time on my hands( again :)) and  this time around i will make it, i just need some pointers in the right direction.     so basicly if u would start over... u would??? ps: i would be realy happy if some pro would alsow answer to this

Buy Jared Tendler's book, The

Buy Jared Tendler's book, The Mental Game of Poker (Use Promo Code 13 on Step 2 of order form for 10% discount). You should probably also seriously consider hiring a coach so that you have a guide throughout the process. You want to make sure you use your time as efficiently as possible and having somebody who can guide you through everything will do just that. Not to mention the mental sanity/confidence boost a coach should provide. Check out Rypac's video guide and watch some of the beginner section vids. See if there is a particular instructor you like and maybe try to get coaching from that person.

the thing is i already was a

the thing is i already was a wining player on Ipoker network in HUsng. i made it up to 100s but a bad shot at 200s and to much ego, killed my roll, once again. before that i was a six max player, who busted a couple of rolls of 16k in a mater of 24 hours  last year. and im playing poker for a living for the last 4 years. tilting started 2 years ago for me, when i went to live on my own in another country. poker became a job, and i wasnt playing for the fun of it, ( like at the begining) but becouse i needed to pay the bills.so to cut the story short, i have just finished reading tandlers book cover to cover and i think i need alot of work in this part of the game. I AM A MENTAL GAME FISH. TOTALY!!!@mjw006i am planing to start at the bottom of the food chain at the 5s on ipoker, becouse bankroll is an issue and i want to bulid a good fundation on which i will build a stone house, not just house of cards. i definitly need to change my thinking at poker table. i didnt evolve like the game did.your article is a realy good place to start.  the learning part is gold. i was a premimum  and  standard  memberand honestly i watched all the videos on this site, made 5 notebooks of notes, and they are complitly crap.should i be sticking with only one video maker or should i be watching and learning like raypac su recommends in his guide??? @PHMERCcoaching is definitly something i want to take. i didnt have a coach in my so caled "poker carier" and im sure its a big -EV. but the reality is i cant afford it now and i need to learn/ improve from the resources i have available to me. basicly i want to improve, couse im sick and tired of reading other people success stories. i dont envy them becouse i know that there is alot of hard work behind that success!

Well if you are trying to

Well if you are trying to re-develop your thought process from scratch again then I would advise you watch a lot of fundamental stuff from various instructors. iirc primo had a good foudations video which would likely be a good place to start. Watching more advanced stuff will not help you at this point in time because you want to keep things as simple as possible and build on that gradually.I don't think it matters if you watch vids from diff people but don't go jumping into mers theory video or a hokiegreg vid when you are trying to develop fundamentals. As long as it is relevant, watch it.

i started playing again. its

i started playing again. its going well. the first step i took, is set a alarm on my cell phone to remind me to take a break every 30 min, just to fresh my mind. i must say im very pleased with this step. and the second thing is, tha im starting to remind myself about the strategy so that my emotions dont get the best of me... i need alot of work in my mental game and i will not give  up! it was hard reading tendlers book, becouse i found out alot about myself, and most of that wasnt good!as i improve my mental game i will take on the strategy part from the ground up. im playing 7s on stars now, and im sure im gona be on this 7s nd 15s limits quite some time. first becouse of bankroll issues and second becouse of the fundamentals i need to master before i move up.thank you guys for your time, u can read about my progress in my blog!
