SUPER!!! Turbos in couple of months!

Heyyyy!!! I would like to know your opinion about the futur of super turbos, for the moment bunch of regs make lots of money in those cause there is plenty of fish, but do you think its going to be profitable in a couple of months? can we make a living to play those and think long term?/Roamus

I think so, but you'll find

I think so, but you'll find many doubters among the successful players in this game.I'm in the camp that thinks there's still plenty exploitable edge in these stacks sizes, that theory in this area of heads up sngs and poker in general is not as strong as it is in some other areas (proportionally) and that we have a ways to go before everybody knows how to adjust and why and is solid enough to keep most good players from beating the rake.Yes, it'll be more luck filled in the short term, people won't win as much consistently and you'll see some brutal downswings from players playing extremely well but running bad, and some good people will be turned off or quit the game.  But the same stuff happens in nosebleed cash games, only to a much worse degree than I am describing.I'd honestly be more worried about regular speed games on FTP, the traffic on FTP seems to be stagnant to slightly declining and with the super turbos the regular speeds seem to be filling very slow (or so I've been told by multiple people at various levels).  Not that it's something to worry about, I am just saying that if anything will die or have a lack of action in the short term, it's probably the regular speed games.I think these low edge, fast played, variance filled games are really good for us though.  It adds a few new skill sets to the game, so it's not automatic that players from other structures will naturally be good at them.  It also makes it tougher for weaker players (and formerly strong players) to see that they are not winners in these games, another advantage if you're a strong player.  There also are less button mashers or complete nits making tons of money now.  Not that I despise those people, but it's good to see strong mid to end games being rewarded, they were rare to see a year or two ago but now the best players excel in that area particularly and super turbo type structures reward those players.

Ya I have been wondering why

Ya I have been wondering why regular speeds are played less of FTP.  The rake is higher than for the similar speed games on PS.  So I have to figure that is a problem with higher level players.  I already know will have to go to PS once I hit the $20+ level.

Also consider this though:

Also consider this though: That even though players WILL get better at these games, there will also always be NEW players coming into them (who will presumedly not be as skilled). As long as the number of players playing them grows in proprtion to the avg skill level, all should be the same (except you may have to practice some game selection)
