$28.70 Super Turbo

No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter BBHero1275  BTNbirdyfact0ry1725  Effective Stacks: 26bb Blinds 25/50 Pre-Flop (75, 2 players) Hero is BB birdyfact0ry raises to 100, Hero calls 50    Flop (200, 2 players) Hero checks, birdyfact0ry checks    Turn (200, 2 players) Hero bets 100, birdyfact0ry raises to 300, Hero calls 200    River (800, 2 players) Hero checks, birdyfact0ry bets 533, Hero folds    Final Pot: 1333 birdyfact0ry wins 1333 ( won +400 ) Hero lost -400  As played do you like the fold?  I think I noticed my first timing tell ever in a hand (one of the joys of playing less tables lol). He literally snap bet the river within a 1/4 of second and it seemed like he wasn't worried about what I had and just wanted value.  If I didn't having a timing tell or the river was a 2 then I think calling becomes really close.Looking back on it I think I like a lead out because over 190 hands he R: 60% and only CB: 53%.  I think most people wouldn't cbet this kinda of board but would check back with a large portion of their range that would call a flop lead.

Speaking of software how's

Speaking of software how's MergeKeys been working out for you?i couldn't get used to it. i just found myself thinking about what key to hit and losing track of my in-game thought process. obv it's something that would become more second nature with more practice, but i don't know if it's worth it for me since i only play 2-3 tables. thanks for the recommendation though, it really is a great program.TT: definitely 3bet bigger pre. the avg 3x'ing range is going to be on the pretty strong side, so i expect a ton of it to continue vs a 3bet.with AA-JJ i would 3bet to 350-400ish.the rest of hands i'm 4b i would just jam vs a 3x tbh. A9-AK 77-TT type stuff isn't great to 3bet to t450ish, as villains flatting range is going to realize equity really well vs that type range. it's not the sexy option here, but i'm pretty confident it will have the best expectation.as played, it's a turn he's going to miss a ton and it hits your perceived range. so unlikely he has AX or better (flush draws are jamming flop soo often). i expect JX to raise flop a high % of the time as well. so given that i think we are ahead here a ton, i don't want to give free equity by letting the turn check through and allow his single spade, gutshots + over etc to realize a free 20%ish equity.

KT: well this river shouldn't

KT: well this river shouldn't improve his turn raising range really. doesn't make much sense to check back draws and then raise turn, you know? so i don't really see the 9 as a scare card. the only hands that possibly make sense to me given his pfr range are 22/33/88/TT/T8 (TT and T8 being pretty unlikely obv). this is just so few hand combos. people hate getting led into on the turn when they dont cbet too, so it's not some cliche spot where i feel im never getting bluffed either (like when i 2 barrel someone and they check/mr my turn barrel on a wet board). i would call and if i see something tilting like AA/22 i'd consider folding in the future if i don't think he can bluff too.conversely, i think it's great that you are trying to make big folds and trusting your in-game intuition. there are always going to be certain situations where decision A or decision B are really close, and the decision simply comes down to intuition. i just don't think there is enough evidence to fold in this spot. it's unlikely it's a big mistake though vs the average player.

I've been following the whole

I've been following the whole debate on 2+2 where those 2 regs were complaining about how you and Mers were making the games so much tougher with fasttrack.  I just wanted to say that I think you both handled it well and made some good points. When Mers said "If you do not get better, someone else will take your place. You have never "arrived" at a state where you can project your winnings far out into the future. It's always contingent on you stopping doing the stupid things you're currently doing that will get harshly exposed as the games evolve" it hit home. I've done my best to get over my entitlement issues with feeling like I should always be winning in whatever games I've played, but it's a lot easier said than done.  If I'm not making the money that I want to be, then I just need to work that much harder.  Worrying about how much above or below EV I am doesn't change anything.  Reviewing 10 HH's and finding leaks of mine I've overlooked does. People who sign up for this forum have so much information available to them it's almost unfair.  Although I know this I still count myself as someone who hasn't taken even taken close to full advantage of the fact.  We can ask 2 great poker minds as many questions as we want for about $400 bucks a month... simply an amazing deal.  I fully plan on exploiting the shit out of that in Novemember :]
