Theory: 3betting question

The lower the stack to pot ratio, the less important position becomes.(I'm pretty sure that's a ffair assumption to make)In this case doesn't it make sense to 3bet all hands that your willing to call with instead of flatting(maybe a different range) since this will decrease your oppenents options/room to maneuver postflop + pre flop fold equity. Not sure what stack sizes this could work for =/discuss. (sorry if this has aready been asked and answered, i'm a fish at the search function)

I could be misreading your question. If you are asking about simply 3B OOP and creating a large preflop pot, then the answer is: You need to be extremely careful with the hands that you do this with, because he can play very well postflop if you do this with a wide range. He can either shove or fold, putting your mediocre hands in a terrible spot. Not only does your 3B decrease his options postflop, but also yours. Basically, whoever has the weaker hand in this spot is at a big disadvantage. And your opponent's position still gives him a large edge, even with a fairly low stack-to-pot ratio. Of course, if you have one pot size bet left, this edge is hardly existent. But if you are 3B a weak range, this allows Villain to play very well against you with, playing only hands guaranteed to smash your range.
