Ugh, I'm not so much worried about you playing this too passively, but a lot more about you being beat !
First of all, that's just a terrible flop to get check/raised on - the problem is that if the guy has any reasonable pre-flop calling range, then all hands that you're still ahead against and don't fold to your cbet have some really decent equity against you.
Any pair, even a naked Ace high, has at least a gutshot with it, so there are so many turn cards that can beat you.
He can also easily have you beat already since a lot of hands he could reasonably call you preflop with made two pair here.
Since you have a strong top pair and a gutshot yourself, I'd 3bet this and get it in if I had the read that he's aggressive and he already check/raised me a couple of times before (so I could be reasonably sure that he's also check/raising with draws or weaker pairs). Without any reads, I'd just flat and reevaluate turn.
This turn card, however, is one of the worst cards in deck - he can easily have called your flop bet with a Ten since almost all of his Tens also have at least some sort of gutshot.
I'd just check back for pot control and then re-evaluate on the river.
On this river card, all of his possible draws bricked, so I'd absolutely call here if he bets or valuebet myself if he checks to me.
IMO this more passive line will not only limit your losses when you're beat, but also allow him to bluff when he misses.
