TPWK against minraises (fixed)

  • Pre-Flop ($75, 2 players) Hero is BTN
  •

Hero calls $25, filthierbiscuits checks

  •  Flop ($100, 2 players)
  •

filthierbiscuits checks, Hero bets $50, filthierbiscuits raises to $100, Hero calls $50

  •  Turn ($300, 2 players)

filthierbiscuits checks, Hero bets $150, filthierbiscuits raises to $300, Hero calls $150

  •  River ($900, 2 players)

filthierbiscuits goes all-in $900, Hero folds

  •  Final Pot: $1,800

I think I should have folded on the turn here, since it does look like a trap. ON the other hand villain was a TAG and it could have been a level spot, where he is bluffing me. What do you think?

Don't really see a reason for

Don't really see a reason for betting the turn, this is usually a way ahead way behind situation and in my experience a lot of players like to check/raise the turn again to let all the floats/weakish hands bet. I think if he had the flushdraw he would raise bigger so his range is way more skewed towards Jx (of which most have a better kicker than you) and 4x. IMO you're valuetowning yourself more often than you're valuetowning Villain with a turnbet. As played I think the turncall and riverfold are both fine but I would definitely fold turn if he made it anything bigger than this sizing.

Check turn, call good river

Check turn, call good river cheaply. 6 of spades is not very good river, since at this point you only beat J5, J3 and J2 and badly played, but possible flush got there.Turn bet is pointless, especially with your sizing because you are giving exactly the right odds for flushes to call. I'd much rather go for some showdown value which you have.

im not super cool player :D

im not super cool player :D but i would go all in on turn after his c/r coz i dont see how he could check his trips on turn after u flat his  c/r and there are flush draw out there, and the same with good jack. And blinds are pretty big.I think betting turn is good if u think u have a best hand - 1st u are giving him 3 to 1 to call which if he's after flush would be a bad call and 2nd many dudes at least in low stakes do this min c/r with air so many times on paired boards, just to steal the pot. You can even bet turn smaller like 120 into 300 to make calls from A high and he hasn't odds to call even with 1 over and flush draw if im correct [120/420=0.28 and he have 27% equity to hit his flush or over card]i think in this case he was definitely after flush, maybe im wrong
