How do you feel about the theory that if in a turbo - your opponent has 25bbs and you have 125bbs, you are more likely to be happy to accept a coin flip to try take the win than if you both had 25bbs like in a hyper. This is ofcourse talking about if you are playing 25bb poker because you have taken a chunk of your oponnents stack, and his effective stack is now 25bbs, as opposed to the blinds rising.
I don't like that theory, your decision should be the same if you have 25bb or 125bb, you want to maximize the chances that you win. So you don't want to make a bad play just because "odds are I win anyways," what you're really doing is (random #s as an example) decreasing the chances of you winning from 94% to 91%.
There is one thing I do notice from time to time over the years: Opponents tend to play a bit different if they are winning or losing, so sometimes you'll have to adjust your strategy based on that. But otherwise, everything is the same for any stack size in a turbo and hyper, whether you have the lead or not.
25bb poker is 25bb poker. Only difference is you should have reads on villains deep stack play that should carry over.
Perfect reply.
