Any UK players members of this site, if so where do you guys play live. Ive been to the casino in leicester square and played the 1/2£ cash games there and they seem pretty soft/standard but do you know of anywhere in the east anglia area, i need to win big just to pay for the trip and hotel in london?

I'm from Kings Lynn. I've played live round here quite a few times. Mainly tourneys but I've played at Grovsner in yarmouth. Norwich poker club. A couple of games a week also run in sommersham (near March). A reg game in wisbech too, but generally I will travel to London or nottingham everytime I want to play live

Lol, small world...Im from Bury so not too far from Norwich, about an hour down the A11, I go out on the lash there from time to time. I just googled the grosvenor and norwich poker club and reckon ill check them out some time soon, thanks for the heads up (so to speak). I was looking at Ipswich way before and all they have is a rileys snooker club on a sunday sit'n go format.
I dont know about you but i find that not many of the UK casinos actually have poker rooms, they all seem too interested in taking money from the tables.

There are more and more poker rooms opening up all the time as poker gets more and more popular in the uk. We've actually just had a room open in kings Lynn for cash games and small tourneys so there will prob be somewhere near you in the not too distant future.
The rileys things are not great they are basically cheap and cheerfull speedfests that the do in all rileys across the uk.
One thing to note about Norwich is that you have to have signed up for a certain time (I think 48hrs but you should probably check) before they let you play, but you can sign up onlline or over the phone before you go.
I'm in Sheffield, haven't played live in a while but when I do I head over to DuskTillDawn, they've just opened up a Grosvenor Casino in Sheff which i need to check out too.
I'm from the North East. Dont really play much live tbh. If anyone wants to talk strat, i play the 50s 30s 20s now multi table the turbos.. zakwray@hotmail.co.uk
They just approved table games in PA. Mohegan built a casino, about 5 mins from my house here in Wilkes-Barre, quite a few years ago. It was slots only until this point. Within about 6 months they can have up to 250 table games. I'm pretty excited to see how this place expands. I'll start playing live then. =)
