hey,i don't think the description of the number of stars is well chosen. for example i recently gave 2 stars to a video, which means "ok", 3 stars means "good". when i see videos rated with 2 stars or 3 stars respectively, i assume they are "crap" or "below average". that's how it appears to me, dunno about others. maybe it results only of viewers giving too good ratings, but i can understand that, because giving 3 stars to a good but not extraordinary video seems a bit harsh to me, intuitively.
agreed.
Rating system is something we want to have changed in 2012.It still has some general use, but there are too many exceptions and interpretations for us to really tell if a video is one, two or three grades below "amazing." So it's nice that we can see which videos are amazing, but it's incredibly difficult to gather any relevant feedback from the voting system aside from that.More comments would be ideal too, that's where you really can gather how people feel individually about videos. And if anybody has any feedback they don't want to make public, just PM or email me anytime, I get a good bit of feedback about videos from private conversations and it's one of the primary methods used to evaluate videos (along with public comments, coach feedback and page views/downlaods).
ya, ive seen some sites do 10 star system + comments.
