I recently switched from 6max to husng, and I'm having an hard time putting in volume. In 6max whether I was down a couple buyins or up a couple I could keep going no problem, but with husng's I get the urge to quit after I win once. It feels like if I continue I'm going to hit a losing streak, but I press on and then I lose one and it feels like the end of the world. Maybe its because its new to me and more involved than Im used to. Not much time to wait on premium hands. I'm going to keep trying for a month or so and see if I can get past it. Just want to know if this is somewhat normal.
The following question was asked in future Hokie video (should be released Tuesday now and it will be for both standard and premium members):"How do you stay motivated after winning 3 or 4 games in a row? When this happens get that fear of losing what I've already won and feel like I've done enough for the day. In reality I know volume is the key but can't get past that stumbling block in my head. I really feel this is one of my biggest leaks at the micros and is stopping me from progressing as a player" You should be able to see his answer Tuesday night then in that video (it'll be the first question in the video), so I'll just let Hokie's superior experience in grinding out winning sessions answer your question, and if you have follow ups just post them in the comment section of that video.
Thanks I'll be sure to check that out. It's makes me feel better knowing its not a unique problem.
It is definitely not unique. Maybe not as common as chasing losses I suppose, but quite common.
