What can i expect in husngs? What training would benefit me most?

Ive some previous poker experience. Just recently focused online and mainly hyper husngs. The swings seem crazy but i think ill be a winner in the long run. Right now have only played $1.50s and have a roll of $165. I have a few questions.

Am i actually beating the games or have i got too small a sample? Should i want a higher roi?
What should my roll be to move up? Should I wait until i have a certain roi and games played before i do? If so what should they be?

Finally, what's the best training/coaching someone at my level should look for? Any areas I can work on by myself?

THANKS

A page of advice...

...exists right here: http://www.husng.com/content/beginner-guide-summary-0

Read through that page to understand how to improve your game. There are also various pages with advice from players far better than myself throughout this site, you just need to scratch the surface.

Re: your results so far... The swings at the $1.50s shouldn't be too crazy to be honest; the games are extremely soft and an ROI of 5% for a winner should be not be too difficult there. I think for your first 1,300 games you were finding your feet which is fine - very few players begin playing HUSNGs and automatically crush; it is a game that takes some getting used to. It looks as though you did turn it around at game 1,500 but I imagine you still have some significant leaks.

Take the advice on the page I've posted, most notably buying the Chadders0 video pack. Once you've watched that a couple of times things will start to make sense and you'll have a decent default strategy... From there it's all hard work and dedication!

Thanks..

For the advice, much appreciated. I'm not sure what changes I made around the 1500 mark  but I think my ROI since that point is around 5-6% so hopefully it stays that way. Going to check out that thread now and chadders pack is the first thing ill purchase as soon as I can afford it. Thanks again!

there is a lot of great free

there is a lot of great free material here also.

http://www.husng.com/forums/general-strategy-forums/free-poker-videos-forum

i'd certainly recommend the free coffeeyay and pbogz videos for someone starting out. they both touch on complex ideas but are able to break those ideas down for us mortals. i'd be looking to use those free materials as you progress, if you get the basics right then a few adjustments to exploit the mistakes seen at the micros will see you beat those games going forward.

there is LOTS of value in  the paid content on this site, all the packs will have value for just about any player, but as you progress through the stakes remember the older packs may have content / strategies that have fallen from favour at higher / mid stakes.  but certainly chadders sentins and zzztilts packs are chock-full of sound advice and thinking that will improve you as a player generally as well as the expert format specific advice.

be sure to balance the costs to the stakes you are playing and returns that you excpect.

as with any training material you will only get out what you put in.

HUSNGS are the nuts for me. psychologically intense, strategically rich and VERY fast paced battles. everything you can ask for from a poker variant.

enjoy your journey, good luck.
