What is the correct play here?

Hello,

I have been reading hand reviews here last few months but i  did not post any comments or ask any  questions because my English is very poor.I play on 1.5 stake and after 3800 games i have a 6% ROI.I want to build my bankroll and move up in stakes .

If someone can give their analysis on this hand it would be great.

These are the information i have .This is the 7 hand.Opponent flats 3 out of 4 hands in the bb.Two times he had oesd  the flop,he check calls on the flop both times, one time check the turn on a blank, the other time min bet on a blank, both time he check the river.(On JT3r with Q9o, turn 2o river 7o & on KJ7r with QTo,turn 8o river 7 i had A high both times)

So my questions are,

Did i play correctly on the flop? What range would you assign to him after he call the check raise? What is the best play on the turn and the river?

Sorry for my bad English.

Thank you

Check back T7o vs limp @ 15BB

Check back T7o vs limp @ 15BB and flop bottom 2pair.
c/r flop NA pretty standard so far.

Villain flats.
Ok so our going read on villain is that he is a loose passive fish based on the observations:
- he plays draws passively
- bets weak sizes with bluffs and doesn't follow through on boards he can represent

When he flats our NAI c/r we expect this type of player to have a pair or a straight draw.
Additionally we don't expect him to bluff much when he misses his draws so we will be weighting his bets more heavily to a value range on future streets.

The turn comes a Q, DAMN counterfeited by the board :(
All we have now is a bluff catcher.
You check and he min bets.
Your check is close => against some players it will induce bluffs. But against this guy we don't mind checking to him because we don't expect him to blow us off the best hand often.
We have seen him bluff this sizing.
But he's a fish and could be doing it for value too.
I think your check call is fine.

The river comes a J completing some of the draws he may have held.
But more importantly he bets half pot.
A loose passive fish almost always has Qx here.

It may be tempting to call, thinking its a half pot bet, we're being layed 25% pot odds and have a bluff catcher vs a range which combinatorically he doesn't have it that often.
But this type of player => he has it almost every time.
I'd be surprised if he was bluffing and I think as played against this guy with the reads you had, you made the right play :)

You're welcome.

Have to admit, Cdon got a very good thinking process in and out of the game im jealous :(
Its just a question of months because if he want to become a good reg at mid stakes and keep working hard like he surely does (just check out how many HH he post so far ;) and how many time he put ingame and reviewing is own game)

I'm getting better every day

I'm getting better every day and hope to compete at a high level in the future.
I think Mathew Hilger said it best in his book, The Poker Mindset.
If I can try to paraphrase it:
To achieve success in poker it's not enough to aim to be average.
Average players are losing players.
You have to aim to be the best.
