Ok, so I´m quitting my job tomorrow. This will give me alot of time and I want to make sure I spend it in the best possible way. When is the best time to review my hand histories? Instantly after the session? Before sessions? The last thing before I go to bed (so I think poker when Im asleep). Would it be best to study the most recent histories, or is it any point of reviewing the games I played two weeks ago? When is the best time to watch videos?Any other tips on time management, going pro or things that will improve my poker?
It is a widely acknowled 'fact' that in the morning you are in best condition to learn. Then you have a low around lunch and dinner time or the likes. But your questions seems to be another one. You should make a plan on which points you want to focus DURING your next session. Then you should focus on some similar stuff before this session, that are related to your 'focus goals'.All other is different for each person. I do not think that it is any good to look over the HH right after you raged-quit a loseing session because of tilting. Sometimes you can review half an hour later...maybe you have to take a pass for the day and do it on the next day. Should not be hard to figure it out tough :-)
Hi.
imo,you just allocate a fix amount of hours to a poker session. For each day of the week you plan your poker sessions at fixed hours. You force youself to take 1 day off each week. You force yourself to play the 6th day in each week to deserve an extra day off in the future. You plan a fixed schedule ie 2hours play 1hour study 0.5 hour pauze / evalute & log play / evaluate & log study / evaluate & log efficiency for each session.Rather pointless to try to be more efficient if the above structure is absent.
lol don't do fixed sessions, just play when you feel allright, way better than actually having to play at that and that time.like 1 day you feel a bit sloppy, but your shedule tells you, you have to play? what do you do play or not?In the morning you can study pretty well , watch a video while eating breakfast whatever. take notes to it.Review your hands after the session.Watch a video/read hh reviews before bed if you're not totally absent mentally.
