Hi!
I am new at the community and just got my standard membership... I started playing HU like 3 years ago, but never succeded due to bad BR management... I am taking the game more seriously now and would like to know where do I start...
I wouldlike to take an approach to HU from the most basic and moving up, I am interested on first mastering the regular HU and move little by little to the hyper turbos since I dont have a big BR (around $350 and currently playing $7 single HU and 4 players) gave a shot to the hyper turbos and lost 20 buy ins in around 4 hours, so stopped trying and got a membership here, lol.
Please don't sharkscope me, I am embarassed of my graphs at this point and is extremely clear how BR management killed me.
Being more specific: Is hard to "guess" which coach start with and which videos look for.
Thanks.
I'm hope that it's OK to ask similiar quesion in your topic ;)
I wanna strat playing poker again. I dont' have a lot of time to play (max. 2-3 hours per day) so which game would be better for me? Hypers or Turbos. I've got Chaders Hyper Turbo Pack, $500 bankroll - $3.5 hypers is a good starting point? Or maybe should I start from playing turbos?
@tommyPL; it really is a question of what you prefer to play. Hypers have way more potential, since most fish are playing them (because they want fast action).
Hi.
You clearly seem to have some mindset problems, Javir. Which coach to start with.....it really is a tricky question. I don't think that it matters that much. You just should stick to one coach when you learn the "basics". Because then you will have some kind of 'red line' trough the videos which is easy to discover. Personally I would start out with "thinking like a winner" from Waldie.
After that I would check out some of Cog Dissonance videos. Cog has a teaching degree and therefore knows how to tell and teach stuff, which can be very helpful.
Hi.
Definitely I do have a lot of mindset problems.... Thank you for your advice.... I absolutely need some motivational help here and I will strive to improve my emotions here, they are holding me back big time...
I just found the HU poker video planning guide, I think is great and I will start up there, the waldie's series were fabulous, thank you!!!
You are welcome. Just keep in mind: training videos are not a movie. You should work your way trough a video until you really get it. Meaning; if it takes you 40 minutes to study a 40 minute video, you did not study it.
Hi.
Thank you Barrin....
I am still struggling with some of the concepts, I expect to get the idea soon, and you will be finding lots of questions from me on the forum this coming weeks...
Best regards,
