No Limit Holdem Tournament • 2 Players$2 + $0.15 Heads Up Sit & Go Hand converted by the official HUSNG.com hand converter SBMitkov_Niko1740  BBHero1260  Effective Stacks: 63bb Blinds 10/20 Pre-Flop (30, 2 players) Hero is BB Mitkov_Niko raises to 60, Hero calls 40    Flop (120, 2 players)  Hero bets 60, Mitkov_Niko goes all-in 1680We had only played a few hands and he seemed to be aggresive. Is this a call or a fold being so early on in the game?I am still in the learning stage of HUSNG so sorry if this is a very standard post.Kind regardsblueclcl

With your read that he is

With your read that he is aggressive I would snap call. There are just to many hands you beat. And btw, I would 3-bet TT preflop, that makes your flop decision a no-brainer.

Very good post.  Too many

Very good post.  Too many newer players will post situations where you bet the flop, then bet a very rare and small amount on the turn, get raised on a very specific board texture... and in the end the answer just does not help you very much because the situation comes up so infrequently (the thought process for coming up with the decision is really the only value in those cases, and even then it's easily misapplied in specific situations bc newer players won't as easily realize what the deciding factors or breaking points are). For this hand:- 3bet preflop with TT.  It's a very strong hand, especially in the lower stakes where opponents usually call your 3bets with a lot of hands (this changes a little as you move up, but generally stays the same if you look at population tendencies... you get less spew and stationy calls in higher stakes, but still many opponents, even good ones, that call 3bets very light... I can't remember when I last flatted TT to an open and I doubt many every day pros do either).- I would call the shove.  Download a free tool such as pokerstove and play around with various hand ranges on this flop.  I think what you'll find is that TT fairs well enough to call this shove against all but the tightest opponents (and even then it's still almost always a call, just not as favorable of a situation to be in).Post more situations like this as they come up, it's a very good (and super efficient) way to improve rapidly.

Thanks for the reply's!I did

Thanks for the reply's!I did call,he had A5 and I won the pot,but just wanted to make sure it was correct. So if i was to 3 bet pre-flop and he pushed then is this still a call?or, if he calls the 3 bet,I c bet and he pushes then what?I think I would call all of the above and maybe fold if I knew he was a tight player.( probably wrong, but would appreciate your thoughts)Kind regardsBlueclcl

If you 3-bet pre your

If you 3-bet pre your decision is easier because you have a much better Stack to Pot Ratio if he flats, and if he shoves you have to act player depending, but as you described he is aggro so this is probably a shove pre - not a high five stick it in his face shove - but a shove. Don' t think in terms of the result of this specific hand, but think how often your decisions probably is the right one on average. For further details about SPR (Stack to Pot Ratio) I recommend reading "Professional No-Limit Hold'EM Vol. 1" by Matt Flynn, Sunny Mehta and Ed Miller. And I really want repeat Ryans great advice to use Poker Stove and evaluating your equity vs opponents Hand Range. It has two major benefits: You start thinking in ranges, and you become better in making decisions if or if not to stack of (at least it is what Poker Stove did for me). Common Situations are the Hand you posted, big draws, Combo draws with Pairs and Gutshots etc etc
