Too much to process in an instant.

Wha kind of Zen like method / Training do I need to do to be able to do this in the heat of the moment ?

And of course... was I wrong or right to fold ?

Good fold. You will be up against overpairs alot, and even if you´re not, your not a huge favourite anyways.

Im guessing I have 14 outs and a 29% chance of hitting my card by the river.
3x tens, 3x jacks, 4x Queens, 4x sevens, 14 outs. 52-5=47 47/14= 29%

I think there is 330 left in my stack to call his all in shove at this point, how do I calculate this last part of the sum, quick !??

Thanks for any help,

And I think he may of connected with the flop and have have top pair, a pair of nines ? I don't think he would jam with a possible flush draw and I don't think he's holding any high pocket pairs in his hand or I think he would have jammed per flop judging by his previous behaviour ???

You have two overs and an open ender, bet folding this flop with these stack sizes is a sin.

If it makes you feel any

If it makes you feel any better, you have way more than 29% chance to hit. 29% is your chance to hit from flop to turn but usually after the turn there is a river. ;)

Hi.

Thanks Barrin.

Barrin, Dear Friend, Could you take me through how you would claculate this in terms of Pot Odds ?
I get stuck often in these spots where theres so many outs going on my brain just shuts down, how would you approach a situation like this ?
Would you calculate ? Im trying to be sensible, without being nitty, and not just call a shove where ever, Im trying to think it through, But i dont have a thought process I can follow that I can excecute quickly and work out the math.
Really appreciate it if someone could walk me through this.
Sorry for being such a Math retard.
Thanks.

There are 52 cards in the

There are 52 cards in the deck. 3 you know (the flop) + another 2 (your whole cards).
52 - 3 - 2 = 47 cards
14 cards would improve your hand.
47-14 = 33 cards would not improve your hand.
If you want to make it the easy way you just calculate street by street:
100 / 47 = 2.12 % of a specific card (f.e. the Ace of hearts) to hit with the turn card.
2.12 * 14 (your outs) = 29.68% (your chance to hit from flop to turn)
2.12 * 28 (because 2 cards - the turn and the river card are dealt) = 59.36% to hit one of your outs.
During the game this math is way to complicated. So players are normally useing the times 2 and times 4 rule.
How to use it:
Your outs * 2 = Your chance to hit from the flop to the turn or the chance to hit from turn to river
Your outs * 4 = Your chance to hit from flop to the river
This rule gets inaccurate when you are useing it with more than 15 outs but in heads up, if  you have more than 15 outs on the flop you call anyways, so it is not really important.
This is now very simple. Of course, if you are doing a detailled session analysis you need to go deeper. F.e.: if you chase a flush draw and the board paris with the turn your fd might be worthless because your opponent could have a FH. But this is nothing you should worry about right now.

Hi.

Thank You.

Thank You Barrin.
I'm so glad to see that so clearly explained once and for all, but one thing more, how then do I calculate the % to call the raise amount to know if I'm good ?
Its been killing me, searching through forums, and reading the same sh*t over and over agiain.
But not knowing really the best way to execute it in the game.
I know, I should know this, but I can't  get it.
Again thanks Barrin and the HUSNG community.
