I'm not sure if this will help much, but what keeps me from doing it is that I think of everything in poker strictly in terms of EV. Every decision I make is something that I try to do to maximize my EV. When you are angry, your ability to think clearly is affected. You won't make decisions as well as you would if you were in a calm and rational state of mind.
When I find that the game is getting to me I try to think about how much it is going to hurt my play. If my opponent is bad enough that I still think I am +EV then I will try to just calm myself and continue to play, but if I am angry enough that I can't even continue to play profitably then I go do something else.

I am also one to go on tilt monkey over a bad beat.  I would bust $80 mice over $20 SNG loss, and not good for my subsequent games.  It really wasn't about the money; it was about not winning or making the correct read/play and losing.  
I then watched Croixdawg's videos and I was really taken back by his attitude and demeanor over the games.  It seemed he was in a "Zen" like state no matter what happened and I really wanted to be like that.  I asked him the same question that you posed in the forum. 
Here is his response.
"I don’t really think it accomplishes anything to get upset over poker.  In the grand scheme of things, we must realize we are playing a game and that long term the math will work out if we get it in good.  Say we always get it in AA v. KK, we will win 80% of the time and will become very rich.  We are also expected to lose this 20%, so when that does and eventually will happen getting upset about it does nothing…it is bound to occur. 
The swings are pretty natural for any poker player; it is just a part of the process.  It is absolutely crucial though that when we are in one of these downswings that we not take away our edge by not playing optimally.  Some great players just throw money away tilting when, while poker can indeed be frustrating, it is silly to donate money when the mathematical edges we gain work against us, which at some point they always will. 
Having a clear mind and knowing that these things happen to everyone and will happen to us make a world of difference."
Since his response and after watching his videos many times, I haven't tilted at all like I use too.  I have listened to what he said and taken into my mindset/heart in my HU SNGs.  I owe him a lot, and he probably thinks he didn't really do much.  He is probably the main reason I will continue to be a member here, not saying the other guys making videos aren't great - they are!   I am just saying so far being a member on this site he has impacted my game more than any other one.
