This is from the Heads Up (Low) event, Round 2. Villain is a total nit but unfortunately did manage to take out a big chunk from me via Ace flush > King Flush. Had I looked up his Sharkscope stats I would have probably called here, but I didn't and I folded and got to wondering if I was just over thinking the hand and giving too much credit. I've busted out of a live heads up tourny by not folding this and have heard warnings from HUSNG regulars about stacking off with a flush or straight on paired boards. This is impossible to answer accurately without a better description of the villain. For some opponents their range here is literally 100% full houses, for others any 9 is the the absolute nuts. If he is nitty then it might be ok.
Villain may have a boat but given your line I'm calling here. It's something like a 5-6x raise, I think you're good enough of the time to call against the average low stakes player, nit or not.
First level, deeper stacked, I can see getting away from a hand like this on a paired board, but as the effective stacks get shorter we're a lot less worried about the few hans that beat us.
If you don't want to call a shove and aren't exactly happy about a bet/fold you can always check/call, but that's not usually the most rewarding line against a nit bc you miss value out of most hands (would have to be a big nit not to bet trips when you check to him though).
