Playing a pretty LAG player so checked the flop thinking like previously he would bet out, Rainbow flop and turn, few draws, so my only guess is the set? when he calls the turn card he loses me completely, if he has the set why not just all in? To see him turn over two pair rivered and calling down to nothing made me want to hurl my pc.
I know I should probably have bet the flop here, as it was I guess he is thinking I am taking a shot at the turn card which he has just paired. Maybe a case of FPS (fancy play syndrome)?
If you don't want to bet the flop for any reason I probably go a little bit bigger on the turn, 450-500 here, but still is just a cooler hand, not horribly played.
It is likely if you're playing like this in this spot that you do it in other spots when it can be a lot worse for you (such as deeper stacked in a smaller 3bet pot) so I would keep that in mind in future 3bet pots, especially in the first level or two even stacked.
I think not betting the flop was a mistake, and one I probably shouldn't make, in some ways upto the river it actually works out (I get more chips by allowing him to see a card), but I have no idea where I am in the hand, getting drawn out
as played like you say I should have bet more on the turn
