65% or more of my turbo games on poker stars goes to the 50-100 level

I don't know if it's normal, good or not, that a lot of my turbo games on poker stars(65% +) goes to the 50-100 level if not 75-150 . Is someone have stats or informations about the signification of this. My ROI is relatively good (6%)and I use the SAGE chart under 7 BB. I really want to improve my game and I dont know what thinking about it. Sorry for my english......

Thank you very much

well for starters, start

well for starters, start using NASH and not SAGE at under 7 big blinds :)

it seems like your doing well so dont change your game too much at more than 7 bb ,but for 7bb and under use this chart rather than NASH, slightly more accurate, should gain you some edge

Thanks vmuch for the link but is it normal to end up so often

Is it normal to end up so often at the 50-100 blind level in turbo games on Poker Stars. Is that have a meaning about my game style or maybe  a leak at the 25-50 level?

Thank you very much for the link and specially for the Intermediate concepts video 1 and 2 .  Thoses video help me a lot  and gave me a serious  line to improve my games. I have great respect for your work.

Hi, It is not normal, though

Hi,

It is not normal, though it doesn't mean it is a bad thing at all (especially if you are winning at 6% or so).

A couple of questions so we can better give you feedback for your question:

1) How many games and at what levels is this happening in?

2) How long on average are your games lasting.  You'll need to use something like HEM, TM or PT to find this out.

From there we can figure out if this is a short term anomoly, a product of how you play or a combination of both.

Ok I played 670 games at 11$

I had wright from the beginning  problems with that  ,and not specially against a particular type of opponent.  I played HU for now 2 month and work hard to improve my game . Probably because i'm a beginner , i don't know what mean  HEM ,TM and PT but Im very grateful to have your advices.

Tank you very much

Your welcome for the videos

Your welcome for the videos :). It is a bit unusual, but understand, that DOESNT mean its bad. It reallllyyyy depends on what your trying to achieve. Myself for instance. I play many many many games at a very low winrate (3-4% ROI) and I do this because I believe with rakeback included it maximized my HOURLY RATE, simply how much $ per hour I make.

However, the negative side to this is that I experience a TON of variance, am probably more prone to letting tilt effect a large # of my games, and easily burn out or go off my A-game.

Now take a player like, Brilliant27. He plays just 1 table at a time (unlike me who will play 3-5), and he focuses VERY much on his opponent. His average game lasts MUCH longer than mine or most people playing similar levels as he does, however he wins his games at a MUCH higher winrate.

What im trying to say is simply looking at your games going to 50/100 that much of the time cant be seen as a problem yet. First look at your ROI, and decide, are you happy with it? 6%... if your playing turbos, thats nothing to be unhappy with, for sure.

Now ask yourself, look at your $/hour you make with that ROI... are you happy with that?

If your answer to either of these questions are no, then there is a subset (different set of things) which you can do to improve or change each one, but no, I would not say it is a 'problem' to have them go that far

I meant that you need to

I meant that you need to find out exactly how long your matches are taking on average with a program such as holdem manager, tourney manager or pokertracker.

I've seen a lot of people say "my games take a zillion years" when in reality they just notice the longer games.

I am not saying that is you at all, but giving us a specific length of time that your 600+ games have averaged would give us an idea of how much longer than the usual winning regular your games are going, and we can start to dissect why they are going longer and if it is even a bad thing for you.

I work on that and will give you feed back Thanks so much
