Suggestions for upcoming videos [concepts & series]

[I curently posted below as a comment to a video but I believe this is a better place for discussion]

Hi PrimordialAA and other coaches,

I am currently watching several Videos where the focus are on basics and concepts for beginners. I watched six videos from you

Scratch 1 &2 beginners, intermediate and advanced. Based on this Videos, PrimoridaAA asked in his advanced video to get more information

the HUSNG students wants to see. I would like to make a suggestion and some comments.

First of all, the most Videos are from higher stakes players and I am really missing more beginners concept videos and on limits below 30$.

I was a full year member of deucescracked and they had some concepts for beginners.

I would like to suggest to implement one concept that was really successful at DC and got very positive feebacks from the members.

Maybe two coaches could review a video sent by a HUSNG member and going thru that Video and commenting on it and maybe there will some hands

which the two coaches could discuss and explain why, which pla/move was good or not. The videos series could start from the 5$ limits and go up to the high stakes limits. The differences could be explained in the videos compared to the next higher or lower limits (concepts, game dynamics and so on). So the fundamentals of HU SnG could be explained as also the advanced and pro concepts could be discussed. I think that concept can cover a lot what HUSNG Members would love to see. At DC it was called the "coaching tree" by tubasteve and balugawhale. An othe very popular concept was a series where WiltonTilt was looking at a student during his live play and discussing hands. Or at least "King for Day" where students could send there videos and or handhistories and the coaches discussed there playing on different levels.

At the end I really like HUSNG and hope my game gets better after I understand the HU SnG play. Hopefully my comments are welcome.

Thank you for the

Thank you for the suggestions.  We'll be doing some more low stakes videos soon.

For now, a few things to be aware of:

1) We have some "leakfinder" and "student review" videos where we review games for or against members and students.

2) We have a good amount of lower stakes videos, particularly from myself and Skates.

3) A lot of the higher level videos, particularly up to $230, are extremely applicable to any level, including the $5 games.

I would even say that just about every single one of Cog Dissonance's videos, except for his WCOOP series, is 100% applicable to the $5 regular speed games.

The main point we try to stress on this site, is that heads up sngs are a game of adjustments and adaptations.  As you move up, the players don't always think differently, they usually just play slightly better at each level as a whole.  Therefore, we're often playing guys in the $115 turbos that are the same skill level as some of the average players you get in the $6.25 turbos.  Yes, sometimes we play players that are better than most at your level, but even in those instances, our opponent show 90% of the characteristics that you see in your low stakes opponents.  We find their leaks, which are usually less exaggerated, and we exploit them.  The main difference you see in those lower stakes is that the players have more leaks, but their leaks are similar, if not the same as players in higher level games.

Regardless, we're always looking to add a variety of buyin levels, particularly from instructors without a lot of games at a certain buyin.  Primo hasn't had too many low buyin videos lately, so he'll be doing more of those in the near future.  I will as well, since my last few videos have been mainly from the $115 buyin level.

In the future, instructors on this site will be asked to play a wide range of buyin levels.  I usually ask people to play the buyin level that they play or that they feel best teaching in, and once they've done a few of those I ask them to mix it up.

Thank you for your input, we do value it and I think you will continue to see more low buyin videos added.

My idea:  Get a hand full

My idea:

Get a hand full of coaches and get a hand full of players.

Set up some matches by a random factor.

PlayerA vs. CoachC
PlayerB vs. CoachA
PlayerC cs. CoachB etc.

Both player and coach record the video as they play. Afterwards the coach will do a normal coaching video with his video against the player, so that the people here and the player himself can see why the coach played the way he played and what thoughts and reads he had on the player. Than the players video can be reviewed by another coach that can argue on the players game and also argue on the play of the other coach - if everything works out you can get a nice discussion between the two coaches in the end discussing different point of views in some of the played hands.

Confusing?! :)
