Hes has opened every hand to 4x and this is the first time i have defended. I dont think he can ever be bluffing here and im not sure what to do. I thought about c/raising because I think any flush will bet here after I check, but also figured I might be able to get value out of some pair hands.
Are you asking if you should check the river here instead of leading? I think you played the hand fine just get it in, now that he has raised you.If you had checked the turn and he has air he can obv try and bluff or semibluff in some cases but he will not call if you reraise him. If you checked the turn and he has a low-mid flush hes obviously going to bet the river, and call it of depending on the size of your reraise and J or 9 diamonds you can probably stack off. BUT alot of the time he is just gonna check back and you get no value at all. When you do decide to bet the river, your perceived range is pretty wide i guess. You are still gonna get value from a lot of Ax Tx hands + your inducing mid high flush to reraise (weak flush will probably just call). Obviously hes gonna fold his air alot as well in this spot But overall i think there is more value in the river lead due to the times when he is afraid he is not getting enough value out of his strong flushes.
Im not asking about how to get the most value. Im asking about what action I should take where the ? is. What flush is raising that strong, I think a TON of the time he turns over a boat. If he had made it less I would just shake my head, close my eyes, and call. But with that sizing it feels like a boat that is trying to get value out of exactly what I have.
sorry my bad didnt notice the paired board :/wow tough spot! Here i think i just call then. I think you need to be right around 40% of the time here. But then again... mehhh
Hmmm, well personally I find it hard to credit him a king here simply because he checked both the flop and turn on such a wet board... Checking that turn is downright suicidal if he has a K, especially if he doesnt have a diamnond at all, but KxJd could possibly consider it, but the chances of this specific hand being only 2 combos out of his range - and anyway, why chk behind? he is likely to get value out of hands just like yours. And Id have thought he's also want to build the pot with a K... Only other option is he flopped/turned full, but again this is ony 3/6/6 combos out of his range to, and again why wait until the river to extract value ??Jd is strong option, 2nd nut flush might go for a value raise. But also not too hard to imagine him taking this like with a smaller diamond, thinking you could only call with 1 card in the deck - Qd. Which you have, so my take is to get it in here, but thats purely my oppinion... Of course its not impossible you are behind, but dont we have enough value to get it in here? And there is no reason to flat i see... But Im no expert, this is just how it looks to me...
This play sounds close to me, so I listed all the possible combinations...There is lots of play left with remaining stacks and he will show up with KT, TT, AA, KK, or 33(!) here a fair amount of the time, even though the first two hands he should have been betting every street. So yes, that's a small number of combos.Let's say he calls an ALLIN when he has the Jd or fullhouse, and folds his weaker diamonds. We will assign him a range of JJ, JT-J7, and J6s-J2s. That's a whopping 71 combos compared to his fullhouse hands, 16 combos. That's really a huge difference, so perhaps getting it in would be best? (Not a total guarantee that I did the math correctly!)I'm still hesitant to shove, as he may be flat calling a Jd and he may even fold that to a shove (not likely).A flat call here, though, leaves you with a nice chip advantage and maybe you can find better spots later? After all this babbling, I still don't know???
snapcall river and if you are beat u r beat. U cant ever fold river on that spot. If he is a weaktight u can think again. But on that case just an Usain Bolt call
