Ok, I've played the guy once before and dont think too highly of his play. My exact notes on him read"shoved K6s 1400 at 50/1003 barreled 47o on A98x9 board vs resistance"Here is the hand PokerStars Game #49698003459: Tournament #311737526, $55.00+$2.50 USD Hold'em No Limit -Match Round I, Level I (10/20) - 2010/09/16 15:00:31 WET [2010/09/16 10:00:31 ET]Table '311737526 1' 2-max Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: t000piC (1117 in chips)Seat 2: mattutaylor (1883 in chips)mattutaylor: posts small blind 10t000piC: posts big blind 20*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to mattutaylor [7s 9c]mattutaylor: raises 30 to 50t000piC: calls 30*** FLOP *** [Kc 4c 9d]t000piC: checksmattutaylor: bets 60t000piC: raises 100 to 160mattutaylor: calls 100*** TURN *** [Kc 4c 9d] [Ad]t000piC: checksmattutaylor: checks*** RIVER *** [Kc 4c 9d Ad] [Kd]t000piC: bets 300mattutaylor ?
I don't think you're spewing as played. Kx or air is usually the range based on his line, Ax would be ridiculous to check back the turn without some crazy reads and better 9x hands don't usually value bet like this.Folding the flop can be good here too, it's not a board many non thinking players will bluff at with pure air and your only value on future streets is often from bluffs (while you're killed by any real value).
