1 hand:My first reaction was that i would check turn, cause he is showing alot of strength by calling your cbet. Alot of AxKx hands in his range (Ax on the turn obv makes it more weigthed towards Kx and some low PP). I would try to get to showdown as cheap as possible The problem is there is a little over a pot sized bet left if you check to him, so if he shoves i would perhaps many times fold the best hand?? Maybe instead bet a larger amount on the flop, and go all in on turn would be better because of the stack sizes. Hmm sorry not much help from here :) 2hand: Bet larger on flop like 50-60 instead of half pot. Also bet larger on turn instead of half pot. On the river its very hard to put him on a backdoor flush. I think in the end i wouldshove over his bet. I think we get paid by worse kings and fold out bluffs enough of the time to make it profitable but also not sure here.
First hand, I like your cbet size. Being a thinking opponent, he should realize that your range smashes the AKx flop and fold out anything less than a K. There are many more Aces than Kings in his range, as he would likely fold anything less than KJo or KTs. Being OOP, I would just give this one up. Basically, all you have is a total bluff catcher and I doubt that your opponent is bluff-catching this board.Second hand, I agree with Don that your Flop and Turn bets should be bigger. I don't know about the shove on the river. Villain may have K9, KT, or KJ. He may also have a fullhouse if he has K8. A backdoor flush is possible, but improbable. So I guess you have 12 combos of Kings that you beat, three combos you lose to, scant backdoor flush possibilites, namely a suited 7. A real worry here would be the double-gutter J9. There are 16 combos. It's possible that he slowplayed something like a set of 7s, but unlikely on that board. So considering only the King combos and the worrisome J9, that leaves 12 combos you beat and 19 combos you lose to. I think if you shove here, those are the only hands calling. Bluffs of course will fold, as will something like QT.So I think it's only a call here.
thx to both of you
