Literally less than 1% of that downswing is in deep stack husngs, which are the focal point of every video he's made here.I think the issue for you would be that he doesn't really seem to be playing many deep stacked games (and he's from hu cash so that is where most of his experience is) and seems to be wanting to learn and play in regular heads up sngs.But there's a huge difference between 150bb and 30bb stacks.  There's a reason we asked him to deep stacked videos and try to keep the videos focusing on deeper effective stacked matches.  It's not because he's bad shorter (I honestly don't know anything about Krab's short stacked game, he hasn't done a video on it, we've totally focused on deep stack concepts in any sample and site published videos), but because we could verify fully both from our own knowledge and several higher stakes players knowledge that his deep stacked thought process is strong and we felt we had a need for a few deep stacked videos after Cog's deep series went over well.

I didn't watch any of his videos yet, am currenty way behind on watching videos, but these are definitely on my list.However, I just read the video comments, and from what Ryan wrote about this person, I fully trust him on being an excellent husng player and a great coach.Do you have any specific comments which thought processes don't make sense, maybe something wasn't clear in his videos, or you didn't understand something properly ?  IMO any kind of constructive critism is much better than just labeling him as a bad player.After watching mjw006's latest video (where he constantly apologized for being the "most boring coach", which he's definitely not), I also start to feel like we might have a little problem here with new coaches are introduced and welcomed to the site.I really like variety of different coaches, who explain the game from so completely different angles, so let's please not make them feel uncomfortable here by labling them as being boring or a bad player, without any kind of constructive critism.

Thank for your input jack.And I don't want to discourage these posts, I don't want to turn this into a debate or anything like that, it wouldn't be constructive for any members nor for the coaches.So Lagdonk, if you can please elaborate on specific strategy issues you may or may not have with barewire's concepts, that would be most advantageous for us.The process of getting videos from barewire was something like: I start to look for a deep stack coach.  I know barewire plays hu cash, and deep stack husng is much more similar to hu cash than husng (and by a wide margin bc of stack depth in early levels).  I ask multiple 6 figure husng winners how they feel about his deep skills, response is overwhelmingly favorable.  I then ask barewire if he's interested perhaps, he makes a sample video.  xSCWx (not one of the two big winners that made positive comments about his coaching abilities prior to hiring) and I both watch his sample video.  We like what we see.  We hire him for a series, each video had pretty positive feedback, including some from borg and chipleader, borg I know has had success deep so that's a positive sign.So the process is open in here for all to see.  I'm totally fine with refining it, in this instance I made the best decisions I felt I could at every step of the way.  Verified player at the stack levels we hired him to teach, verified with high stakes regulars that know him that he has a strong deep thought process, verified a sample video was solid to the best of my abilities, but more importantly from a player that has played deep a lot more than I (xscwx) and finally member feedback, which up until today has been solid.I'm not going to have time to clean up this post fully, so I apologize if it's a bit disorganized, but mainly:- I always want to hear if you have a problem with anything on the site of you feel something is not up to our quality standards.- My post may be in a contradictory or opposite viewpoint, but I'm really trying to get you to refine and specificy your issues with the instructor so we can figure out how to best improve the situation, if it needs improving.- If more members agree or disagree with lagdonk, or have some sort of view on this matter, don't hesitate to chime in (or PM me if you don't want to post publicly, people PM me with concerns or questions or suggestions all the time).

I really don't want to turn this into an argument, but "just hard to listen to someone losing" ?For me, his stats are irrelevant since I fully trust Ryan's word on him being a great player.  Stats can easily be wrong or misleading - sometimes people run super hot, sometimes they play on multiple sites, etc., etc., etc. - having a good reputation among other high stakes player is a far more accurate sign of someone being good than any stats could ever do.Also think about what you wrote at the end - if they adapt to you better than you adapt to them, doesn't that mean they're better than you ?  So why does it matter so much how they play against other people - since that's what stats really mean in this situation.

I don't apply his philosophy to husngs since I play turbos only but I think it is still nice to have him, I use some of his lines in nl hu cash at low stakes. It works more often than not.

Heh well i never saw this thread before. I've played regs in the deepstacks for maybe 2/3 of my volume and to say the least I've had a less than stellar run. My sample at each limit is still less than 100 games and I'm running the worst at the highest limits. I also, as ryan suggested, played a lot of faster structures with what i'd describe as inadequate experience at short stacks. Things as little as going 0-6 effect my graph pretty dramatically nowadays simply because I'm playing far bigger stakes than I used to when I put in the majority of my volume at sngs.  Also, if anyone cares, october and december were my two biggest months ever thanks to cash games, including my horrible run in sngs. I'll try to put in more volume at the deepstacks in the coming months but cash has been very good recently and because of my bad sharkscope I get sat by basically every reg on the planet making sngs an unattractive investment in the short run. Thanks for the support guys =)
