Hey there,I've read on 2p2 that on FTP the STs assimilated much of the Traffic on higher Stakes. Now that Stars implemented them (even up to $100 Buyins), the question is will the Turbo games become tougher soon?Should we consider changing over to HTs because the reg-fish-ratio is much higher? What do you think?Greetings,Turbo
I think hyperturbos will likely follow a similar pattern to FTP, where many of the best regs will play them (assuming they go up to at least $500 buyin soon) and slowly some other regs will start to get into them profitably. I think FTP showed that the fish will flock to STs and the primary loss will be regular speed action (which already happens at $200 or $300+ on stars, will likely die up a few buyins lower). But the turbos should still have fish and traffic, maybe not as much now that it will likely share the primary popular game type with hypers, or even be 2nd most popular (before turbo was easily the most popular structure on Stars).Learning to be a strong player in the 10-30bb range has never been a better idea as it is now.I also have a feeling we haven't seen the last of FTP, if/when they straighten out and provide games and cashouts again, it may not be as strong of traffic as before but I would imagine they will still be the 2nd largest poker room online so they will be a factor if that happens.
I recently switched to hypers after playing only turbos. Once you get your head on strait they can be really fun. The swings are brutal but HUSNGs have always been a volume game and this is even more true for hypers. I suspect they may be one of the most profitable forms of poker around right now.
Great post meatwad, I agree completely.
